Id like to use some squid besides this fake stuff I got but idk where to get it they sell squid jigs at the haji mart but idk if there's any in these waters I see alot of jelly fish though. Also do u think different sinkers would help like a pyramid or flat sinker the ones we have are perfect round balls for like a musket with a hole drilled some what center lol. I was looking at some of the different sinkers on BPS and the reviews on the pyramid and flat types said they worked well in rocky cover so idk if it would help maybe the ball type get stuck to easy.

yeah way to expensive lol if I was going out every day or had use for it back home then maybe but I don't get out that much i might just order some regular steel leaders with the snap and swivel on either end

yeah I understand I wish I knew what was on the bottom for structure or what but soon as anything makes bottom contact its as good as gone the one grouper i did gt that little guy idk how I got him i had two tiny sea bream on maybe 1.5 long tops i had caught tossed em out there with no sinker just enough line to get them to the bottom hoping to get one of the big queens we seen chasing them before i was sitting there packing my stuff to leave when I noticed i was getting hits rod bobed down I set the hook and I had that little guy on there. Maybe i should just try that getting some small fish to small to drag my rig into a hole and just let em slowly sink down and wait or maybe sardine that cant swim into a hole.

Ya know there talking bout bringing them back into service beacuse there easier to pack then the AT4 some one can carry 3 of them as opposed to 1 AT4 I dont have a pistol yet at home but here I am blessed with a lovely bretta M9........

K ill try that tomorrow im not sure how well it will work because the pier is cement like giant bricks all the way down so there's tons of holes like all the way down so going straight down even cranking up a few times will still put it by a hole. our equipment is super crappy also so that plays a big role. My stuff ist to terrible but still crappy my one pole is just a cheap off shore angler mako combo the other is some no name brand i think it says solid 270 on it its heavy as hell but the reel is a cheap thing i bought at the local market for 6KD which is like 20 usd. For line im using 25lb off shore mono from BPS line seems pretty dang strong for 25lb im pretty impressed with it actually.

Im going today starting back up again I just got done with a PT test this morning 81 push ups in 2 minutes only 64 sit ups and my run time was a meek 16:06 because I stoped and puked all over the water over the pier wasn't feeling it to well this morning and it was just a "for fun" pt test to see who would get a day off from doing gates and personnel searches. Needless to say its not me but I don't mind. So now that the test is done iv taken 3 unscheduled days off from the gym im going back tonight its a Biceps and fore arms night and going back into the rotation like I never missed a day.

yeah the PT belts are mandatory any time in civilian clothes or pt's and during low light conditions(1800-0600) when in uniform there's no limit or season on anything we catch here. I still haven't landed a shark iv had them on the line but never landed one if we can spot one we usually can catch it cuz there aggressive you drop anything near them and its game over same with the needle fish but has to be something alive or once alive. we just float sea bream on the surface and the needle fish fight over them once they bite we open the bail and wait for em to swallow it. Theres cuda here to but I haven't seen many same with king's iv seen some guys catching red snapper as well but also never caught one.

id throw some feeder fish in there how do u plan on keeping him alive in the new york winters and hows the heat wave back in new york it was 118 here today

probably one of my best producing baits for wading the rivers by me how ever i tend to stick to bitsy jigs or tubes only cuz it weeds out most not all but most northern pike but them rebel craws work amazing for smallies and even better on pike some times. nice thing i like about them is if i get snagged i let out some line let the current take it out cuz they float wait a second or two start my retrieve and bam fish on. i also like to throw weightless flukes when i wade the creeks.

no we mostly either jig spoons or live bait like zebra seabream. iv tried some diving type lures but its really hard were 20 feet up and our equipment blows there is one spot were a little lower I could probably get some desired action out of a plug but it would have to be on a calm day and I usually don't fish there but I have seen guys catching red snapper there on raw chicken.

thats what I tried when i did the split shots but used the same line i did it with my yo yo spool but it almost always gets hung up actually not almost it just always gets hung up lol

I want to catch some grouper here in Kuwait but every time I put anything on the bottom I get snagged like every single time idk whats down there besides sharp sht that cuts my line I think there's a sunk ship or some thing cuz the bigger queen fish always go for a certain spot and get under some thing and saw our lines. I want to get a grouper bigger then the one I did get but like i said the snags are ridiculous it doesn't matter what i try and use live bait, cutbait, squid, soon as it gets to the bottom it gets snagged and if it doesn't and we get a hit we set the hook feel em fight a quick sec then were locked solid in a snag. I tried like a drop shot rig but used a bunch of split shots so when I pulled it would just pull the shots off but nope that didn't work it took the hook and all. are there special sinkers for fishing reefs or what ever is down there or a certain technique because this cast and sit pole watching isn't working

My oldest gets more worked up if i send him to time out he will ball and say sorry but if my wife tries it he just laughs and gets up and runs around same with her spanking now if i do either hes a mess of emotions same with my youngest but he is the same even when the wife punishes him. Jack the youngest is a mamas boy Noah the oldest is a daddy's boy he tries to be like me in every way possible and always trying to impress me or be the center of my attention which he usually is so when I get after him for being bad he really changes his tune. Iv had to Skype with him several times sense iv been gone to control him because he doesn't care if my wife punishes him.

I finally made it out to the water today after a busy schedule the past few weeks with no time off I got some time off today and went fishing. I got skunked but had several fish on and was fighting for a good half hour just to loose em. I had several needle fish on threw out the day never landed any and one shark that broke my line. The shark had me worried as I was doing it Kuwati style when he bit. The Kuwaiti's don't use any poles just a "yo yo" spool and hand line them they toss there bait out then set the spool on the pier and I guess wait for it to take off cuz that's what mine did lol. I grabbed the spool let it get tight and gave it a good yank and it went airborne ticked off lasted for oh about the time it took me to say " sht i shoulda brought gloves this is gonna hurt" and then snap there goes my first shark bit threw the line I didn't have a leader. No Queens were biting today but we did see two massive fish chasing a ball of bait fish kinda shaped like the Queens but much much much bigger and a little thicker they didnt want anything to do with what we had. My team leader caught 2 needlefish one on raw chicken another on some of the little bait fish I had been catching for us. Also I finally got the pics of the grouper i caught about 3 weeks ago Id really like to get another grouper just bigger but there's so many snags on the bottom its near impossible to fish the bottom.

I was looking at some O'Shaugnessy hooks today I ordered some O'Shaugnessy 3x trebles to replace all the cheap hooks on the spoons iv been using but no luck today with lures it was real windy seems to be best on sunny calm days.

iv been in the same position here in Kuwait but I don't have a trap and a cast net I don't think would work were way to high up on the pier. What iv been doing with some mixed success is I had my ice fishing gear sent up I tip my ice jig with some FishBites squid warm water formula drop it down and just watch em swarm it and catch em that way did it today but couldn't catch bait fast enough to use it for the needle fish and sharks swarming all over

i just need some thing crazy sharp and strong mostly these fish have some tough mouths

whats the difference between the two I know the circle has the point curled over but why would u use one over the other. im gonna be ordering some soon for fishing here in kuwait i had some octopus hooks I was using for catching bait fish but d**n parrot fish kept cutting my line and im now out of hooks for bait fish and almost out of bigger ones to put them bait fish on.

My nephew is my fishing partner in crime we work together alot but at the same time we have fun and fish "defense" ya know like spin the canoe around to give him no chance or me no chance or put each other into the bushes well the other casts out to the middle. We also bounce ideas off eachother and help catch fish if i get a hit and miss it i will tell him to throw some thing in there or if im working the top with a buzz bait i have him use a spinner same color so if i miss he can throw a follow up instantly so we work together to boat fish but still like to joke each other. Plus being out on the water with him gives me a chance to harass him bout going to college and quiting dip among other things im always asked to talk to him about by his mother and aunt(my wife). I also like a good fishing partner who leaves it all behind once out on the water no cutting trips short cuz girl friends or wifes call and those that arnt afraid to put some work in. I love fishing with my wife absolutely love it but she wont go to some places because its to far of a walk or climb or to muddy to many bugs. the nephew he will gripe but he just does it to do it he wants to get to the fish as much as me. Growing up I fished with my best friend Clay we hunted and fished together almost every single day and we would be out for hours on end we would take all our money and pool it together to buy lures and a cast net for bait and would ride our bikes everywhere we wanted to fish even if it took us hours. I remember we left one morning got all our stuff and snuck out at 3am and rode our bikes the next county over to fish a marina for the erie canal derby his parents were ticked this was also on a school day to so...... but what made Clay a great fishing partner is we both lived to fish and hunt we thought the same things like finished each others sentences on what to use and what not and neither one of us ever got tired of fishing and always helped each other it was never who caught the biggest or most it was just fish or deer what ever we were chasing that day. I still wish I fished with him i still make it out a few times a year but were both busy hes running the family business and partying and iv settled down with a family.

Im mixed on the subject I don't like spanking but at the same time I wont tell some one else how to raise there kids. I have before and sure I will again spank my son well both of them jack will be hitting the terrible twos when i get back from this deployment. my wife spanks both of them for little things and it doesn't phase them one bit but If I even raise my voice my oldest Noah will just start balling his eyes out and run over and hug me saying hes sorry. the times iv spanked or swatted his hand usually for beating on his little brother he will ball and run to his room then peak out watching me wanting to come back over to me and it lasts about 30 seconds till i feel like a piece of crap and and go over and pick him up which I know I shouldn't do but I do it anyways because I feel bad. So even though I don't like spanking I still spank my son i think the only reason I don't like it is my mom used to beat the **** outa me wooden spoon, belts, hair brush back handed with her big class ring basically what ever she could find. So I think I don't like it only cuz of fear of turning into my mother who i hate and despise. My father has never laid a hand on me and never honestly even yelled at me he always gave me the im disappointed in u look/talk which was way worse that any beating my mother gave me. I don't think spanking is good or bad as long as it doesn't leave a mark and isn't carried away like wooden spoons and what not even though I think i turned out fine and I received it all the time like every day lol.
