When my mass produced jigs rubber bands start to go bad I have a collection of wire ties from loafs of bread, garbage bags basically anything i can get one from I just strip the plastic or burn the paper off it and hand tie/wrap the wire where the rubber band is. Some times when I bored and have time to burn I will put the wire on the skirts before it goes bad.

I have done this as well also with jigs I bought out his whole selection last summer before a tournament he cut me a deal and told me anything I wanted he can order for me and give me a good deal he was offering me one of the skeet reese W&M rods at cost he only wanted like 49 bucks for it but I turned him down he came back with any veritas under 7ft for 69.99 he said he can only get the 7foot or under something bout his dealer didn't carry the flipping model I wanted. Every time I go in there he will chit chat for a while and show or ask me what what he got in or should get in I got a bunch of my havoc baits from him just so he would be sold out and no one else in my area could fish with them for the local tournament.

this is also a good point I know most the spots I fish are loaded with beaver dams, downed trees, big sharp boulders especially around point breeze inlet. Theres structure every where it seems I don't know of many spots that arnt loaded with spots for a fish to hang ya up. smalljaw hows the power on them fenwicks I liked the looks and specs of them but like farmer pointed out we have alot of heavy cover around here.

hmmm I do like that rod cant seem to find it anywhere but on fenwicks site but its cheaper then all but the abu rod I have listed giving me more room for a reel. I to will more then likely use it for tubes and such as well when wading the river.

Im gonna start adding rods to my arsenal and im gonna start with a finesse set up because I don't have anything that can cover this area properly. I'll still use them with 1 claw some times but I have noticed times where the fish don't mind and others they do i'll toss it in 2 claws constant hits one gets ripped I throw it back in nothing a few casts of saying I don't understand happened I switch to a fresh bait and bam hits like crazy again.

Iv been noticing alot of people are fans of the Roboworms any specific one im looking at them now i see there are several different ones like Roboworm FX Straight Tail Worms, Roboworm Curly Tail, Roboworm Straight Tail Worms, Roboworm FX Sculpins. also what weights do you find most productive like 3/8oz good general purpose weight or do you guys drop down to like 1/8th or 1/4 all the way up to heavy weight. Iv only tried to DS a few times with 0 success I really want to learn this iv always felt the weight was either to light or too heavy I also never really had a good rod for it either im gonna dedicate a set up to it this year for when I get home.

check ebay theres a few good lots on there and terminal tackle can be found cheap im about to order some drop shot weights iv seen 100packs of any weight combo for any where from 15-20 buy-it-now not to bad plus iv just picked up a 25pack of gammy 4/0EWG for 5.50 lure wise its kinda hard unless you want cheap stuff iv ordered some just to try. I'v also found a guy on there selling 3packs of rage tail stuff for 9.99 not much cheaper then gander or bps but a few bucks here and there can add up.

See my dilemma now is do i hold off and buy the new gen 3's when they come out or do I buy up all these gen 2's for cheap. I have the black and red SX and love it I could go for a bunch more but these new ones hmmmmmm maybe get a few of each? If i got the old models it would give me a reason a few moths after release to bug the wife I need the newer ones decisions decisions......
