  1. Does any one have a magical cure for it they can fill me in on. Iv had it for a while never really bothered me but now its getting bad. I have good hygiene i mean I change my socks and air out my boots and shoes but its getting bad and peeling some thing fierce and im a picker so I will pick at it peeling of the layers of skin till its raw. Iv tried lotramine I think it was called but it didn't do any thing. Any one got any hidden secrets about how to cure it nothing seems to work not powders not creams.
  2. I went to the gym tonight and just did some P90X and biked 15mi no lifting Monday im gonna start lifting again after taking my pt test.
  3. iv been checking out tinboats.net there's some good stuff on there
  4. it wasn't gonna be that one specifically just some thing like that this is months down the road that i will be purchasing and starting the project
  5. How hard is it to convert a open lay out boat to like a bass boat. Iv been bored off my arse looking at everything thinking stuff up and I was thinking about picking up a bout kinda like this one http://buffalo.craigslist.org/boa/3090936195.html and adding storage and decks to it. Im pretty handy and fabricating and making stuff work. Is it a pain would I be better off saving up even more and buying some thing pre laid out like a bass boat im just looking for some thing small nothing crazy just some thing for small lakes to go out with my sons or my self and do some fishing but I want storage and casting decks like a bass boat. I think it would be easy and a fun project for over the winter.
  6. no I don't sorry. you can try the library on the BPS site they have some good tips on there I will read them from time to time
  7. lol that's awesome
  8. It wont be more then a few days off im going for a run when I get of shift in 2 hours before it gets to hot out just a short jog to the pier and back 3 miles. I m burned out between all the stuff were doing for the EIB i still was hitting the gym exhausted after our competitions my who squad besides me and my lifting partner took a week to 2 weeks off we did the competition carried our teams and still hit the gym but now im pooped and just taking a few days off. I know i will get back to lifting in a day or 2 I might hold till the 25th in 3 days when we have a pt test again. its the diet that really has me beat i went from grilled chicken and "green" foods to french fries grilled cheese sandwich and angel cake for lunch and dinner tonight will be a steak though its Friday. Breakfast is the only thing im still some what healthy with I get a english muffin toasted with peanut butter then a bowel of strawberries if they have it then another bowel of grapes, cantilope, muskmelon, and a banana and a glass of OJ and occasional yogurt if they have strawberry. Its just the lunch and dinner its so yummy to not eat healthy lol. A lot of it I think is just the situation there's a lot of people who once leave got canceled pay was cut and no more EIB just threw in the towel and said f it when do we go home. Personally the leave thing doesn't bother me as much I mean this isnt really a deployment I just wanted to see me kids i was scheduled to go home for my sons first birthday its the flip flopping that got me mad the yes no yes no yes no no for good. Then all the stupid jobs we have were spread so thin and the planning is horrible every 2 -4 hours were doing some thing different even if we have a little time off we will have a meeting or some thing stupid that takes 10 minutes but there spaced out every 2 hours or so so cant really lay down for rest cant hit the gym and have time to change and shower. So i think thats playing a huge part of my motivation also just getting no time but like I said it could be worse I mean im on QRF(quick reaction force) right now and I have my laptop out on here talking with my weapons and gear all at my side waiting for STTHF which will never happen so its not to bad.
  9. yeah I already reached my goal so I changed them and now I just don't care im gonna give it a few days take some time off from the gym then go back.
  10. yeah we kinda do that we have a pt test every month but im maxing it out besides the run I mean heck last week during our platoon competition we had a pt test where we did it as a team and no 2 people could be doing it at the same time so we each did 30 seconds of push ups , sit ups and each did 2 laps around the track so it was a even work load for every one. I did 47 push ups in 30 seconds and they were good push up not half assed ones because our Lt and PSG are strict on the grading. I used to only get 50 or so in the whole 2 minutes now im getting there in a quarter of the time and as much as i hate running and suck at it my time has been almost cut in half im sub 15min now and my 5k time is around 23min. We had a ruck the other day to 35lbs plus additional equipment 8 miles took us hour 27min with me out front leading the way with the heaviest pack and the DAGR(military gps). so we set up challanges every month between competitions and pts to keep us going.
  11. yup every other time we target chest or what ever it is we alternate one week is flat bar bell with incline dumbbell or vise versa some times we use the smith machine to add weight because it stabilizes for you my cardio alternates run bike row so its always different. same with ab work outs some days are just body weight other days we throw a medicine ball into the mix for some thing different. I think a big part of it is just all the bull sht were dealing with yeah the no leave thing sucks they flip flopped about 10 times then finally nixed it all together and now I guess there cutting our pay now to is the latest word. Then we've all been busting our ***** to go for EIB and now that's out the window also there only sending a few and we have some really bad leadership that filled the slots with them selves before the lower enlisted so now there's a bunch of us who have been killing our selves for that and now arnt able to go. It all could be worse though its just alot of bull sht here
  12. yeah i know the weight gain is the water weight cuz I have my belt marked and my pants are getting looser and my guts getting smaller and smaller to the point I have abs again iv put on alot of muscle mass I have just lost all motivation to keep it up.
  13. Yup iv hit a wall in my diet and exercise kick I had going. I was doing good I still am iv lost 40 lbs well iv put 8 back on with taking creatine now but still in probably the best shape of my life. However I have lost like all motivation my diet is completely gone I got so sick of eating grilled chicken and salad or grilled chicken in a wrap everything was grilled chicken and low carb it was driving me nuts. I had a few cheat days but now every day is a cheat day it seems. Then for the gym I'm the same way no motivation my weights are going up but I just don't feel like being there anymore iv taken 2 days off so far yesterday and today probably wont go tomorrow either. Not sure why iv lost all my motivation maybe its the crazy schedule with no days off in over a month now only getting a few hours of sleep a night or what but iv kinda got the F it mentality I had time to go on the pier for an hour or so today and fish and I turned it down and laid in bed. I know its bad when iv even lost motivation to fish. those of you have made changes to your life style hitting the gym and dieting did you hit a wall how did you over come it.
  14. you could also try fly fishing that's my goal next spring for small mouth im gonna pack the fly rod and a spinning rod and wade the creek if I fail miserably at fly fishing I will have a spinning back up
  15. Welcome, congrats on the baby on the way. Im also from WNY not a bills fan but love fishing all over the area for bass when everyone else around here seems to chase trout and perch.
  16. what ever you like I started off stalking kinda i cant sit still long enough to sit in a stand for hours so I slowly slowly walk threw the woods thats how I got most of my deer and even many of my first fox was just by slowly walking threw the woods threw areas I seen deer when out fishing or four wheeling. but if you have patience try hunting from a stand or ground blind. Does anyone else in your family hunt or friends it can be easier to have some one go with you who knows the area and has harvested deer to give ya pointers of where and when the deer come out. Iv done a lot of scouting just by driving to and from places i have access to a lot of woods and id be driving to work and see the same deer in the field every morning I knew where to be on my day off in hunting season or always seen a buck crossing the road from the same lot to another the same time every night i knew he was bedded on that side and to set up in the evenings waiting him out. So if your say hunting in the woods in back of your house and every morning you see deer coming in to eat your moms rose bushes chances are there living back there find there trail and set up a stand or just hunt from the ground near by.
  17. very nice pike all bigger then my PB pike and your calling em skinny
  18. when i used a droid it was just like how you would from a computer clicked up load or attach what ever it says I cant remember and im to lazy to open full reply screen lol
  19. yeah iPhones suck if you want to do anything like that. I did the same when I used my iPhone for pics on the forum.
  20. try giving it a pause before you set the hook maybe your not letting them get a hold of it good and setting to soon I know I have this problem when I can see a fish take a bait I get exited and just set the hook. For the ones you didn't see maybe you were still setting to soon getting worked up because you were missing so many. iv done it having a bad day getting bit left and right but not landing any or as many as i should get frustrated and start messing up even more just got to take a step back and concentrate. Also on a side note I seen you got a question of yours published in Bassin' magazine I recognized your avatar pic very cool
  21. You can find combos much cheaper especially if you buy used I bought my first bow of my tech teacher in high school for 50 bucks it was a older bear compound. I think I invested maybe 100 more for a cheap sight, arrows, rest, broad heads, release. I shot it every day in the back yard got good at range estimation and was shooting 3" groups at 40yards and even started seeing what i could do out to 50 screwing around then started shooting the squirrels that ventured into my yard. deer season rolled around I killed a doe with it at 48 yards shot a few coons with it a few more deer over the years I just sold it 4 years ago for 50 bucks after hunting with it for probably a good 8 years. I used it for everything from deer to carp with all the original equipment. so you dont have to go out there and buy new and top of the line find a good used bow that fits and go shoot and hunt.
  22. Yeah but animals are stupid on military installations and the whole everyone's a safety thing doesn't always work or get relayed fast enough I watched a doe threw a PAS that was bedded behind a berm stand up into a burst from a 240 it was sweet not to mention countless turkeys that like to wander onto the range. With the berm thing said think about all them tracers you see ricochet a few with every burst some times and them are just the tracers you can see think of all the ball ammo that gets sent off in all directions. It could have been a ricochet that hit the water. I would still check with the PD in the area though and inform them of the situation.
  23. I would focus on mastering the bow yes you can still read up on scouting and where to set up. What are you planning on hunting im assuming dear but you know what they say when you assume. you can find a good used set up on ebay or craigs list for 500 and still get a name brand bow but used or a set up minus the arrows and release pretty much for the same price or even cheaper. The thing with going the ebay or CL route is make sure you know your draw length and weight. If you buy from a store they should measure and set it up for you many bows are adjustable if you have the tools to do it.
  24. first get your self a bow the packages u can get at dicks and gander or any sports store really arnt bad for a beginner or you can go to a bow shop and have one built around you. Once you get a bow set up and some arrows get out there and start practicing a few times a week. Shooting a bow isn't like shooting a gun there's a lot of variables that can come into play im not saying its hard its just good to know your equipment and how it shoots. Get good at judging distance when using a bow being off 5-10 yards at times can mean the difference of a hit or a miss or worse wounding the animal and not recovering. I would start with getting a set up and just shooting the hell outa it go shoot 20 -30 arrows a day learn the bow learn what you and cant hit when u get good then worry bout what kinda camo and other stuff your gonna need. I may have made it seem daunting but its really not bad I have a 11 year old niece who will give most grown men a run for there money with her bow it just seems over whelming at first but once you get it and start shooting its as easy as riding a bike. But hitting what your aiming at is much much more important then knowing how to hunt that will come with time and experiences as the seasons pass learning what works and what don't but when it does work you will know what shots you can and cant make from the practice in the off season.
