I fish em on a jig as well but I tie a 10-16" leader to a swimjig hook then rig the fluke it's worked very well on bass and northern pike almost a few doubles as well but the fluke wAs always the initial or only hook up over the jig.

Probably dragged it could u imagine though catching and fighting a 700lb fish my lord

Is there any bass fishing in Kuwait? I'm gonna be spending the next year their and though I'm in the army word is we night get sent to a navy base ad every one started joking I'd be fishing so I got to thinking what if theirs fishing in Kuwait. I did a quick search and fishing seems to be big there 1930 lakes,ponds, ect. Didn't see any bass or really what is where I did see they have northerns and walleye so there's gotta be bass right. So has any one fished there or know anything bout fishing there

I know where your talking bout it's 45min from my house iv never fished it though Grubs I always use either white or chartreuse mostly occasionally green with black flake. Let me know how ya make out iv always wantedto fish their but never have I might have to give it a shot when back and fishing again

I can't decide what kind of AR to get I was gonna build a varminter type but now I'm getting the new .17 hornet and won't have a need for it. I still want an AR but iv never been a fan of the " tactical" AR I never seen a point for them in the civilian world. I'm starting to have second thoughts on it though it would be kinda nice and fun to have just to rip rounds threw and it's still capable of making some long range shots. Or I could go the ar10 route wich would be fun as well. Or there's the ak route as well and make that all "tactical" I just want some thing fun and reliable cheap to shoot an can be used and not just sit there and look bad arse I want some thing I can take hunting and to the range to blast away with. What would you guys get still do the varmint/match build or do a "tactical" build and take it in the woods occasionally for some fast coyote shooting.

Me and my wife were preparing when we had our first we thought it was gonna be a girl she had a feeling and everyone we knew seemed to be either having girls or just had plus her family is all girls her sisters had girls sober thought we would to. I was already planning like a month into the pregnancy what guns were gonna be left in plain sight and what guns would be cleaned when that day came her bf would be picking her up kinda like that country song cleaning this gun or some thing. Well we didn't have a girl just 2 boys so all that planning was useless lol maybe the next one will be a girl and I can play the over protective dad to scare the crap outa some young boy thinking like I was at that age.

I'd still be setting up trip wires just in case some sneaking around happend rig em to flip the lights on or make some noise to wake up the whole house lol.

Realizing the time of year it is and looking at magazines and gear reviews then looking around and realizing I won't be fishing for at least another year or longer. It's more depressing then grinding of gears

Iv used smith wicks or like rapalas stick baits in general or good ole grubs on a ball head. What streams are u fishing in ny?

Shhhhhhhhhhhh Haha no that was my go to last season tons of action also try one of the weighted wacky hooks nose hooked and twitch twitch kill twitch kill twitch twitch twitch kill. usually I got bit either on that kill pause I'd fork twitch and feel that weight and hammer it home that or I'd get hit alot as it surfaced if was exiting seeing them come up and hammer it inches under the surface. I used it for both still water lakes and swift currents smallies would just destroy it with occasional bonus pike and walleye an 1 bullhead.

I use a palomer knot when I do my double fluke rigs it's the only knot I use for any rig really.

Yeah this kid cool he just got attached to us we like razzing him like all the new guys he takes it pretty good and dishes it right back. We were joking the only animals he sees in his hood are rats lol. That's one thing I do like bout the service is meeting people from all over the place.

I don't have one my buddy does and it's nice he has a few actually buys a new one every year he mostly salmon, trout, walleye fishes not much else. Iv borrowed them from time to time. I wanna say he has like 6 of em can't tell ya the model FE or what not there all nice though I should try and buy one off him he's got enough of em but he also wipes his arse with hundred dollar bills he should give me one haha.

Iv never encountered some one like this it blew my mind kinda like people never seeing snow before. My platoons FO(forward observer) is from the Bronx and yesterday in the field a grass hopper landed on him and he freaked out. Not that girls scream freak out it was just he didn't know what it was he had never seen a grass hopper befor! I was astonished like we got talkin and there were a ton of animals he had never seen befor being from the city his whole life of 21 years. He had never seen a bass or pike befor or a real deer. So we were all trying to catch critters and bugs to expose him to them. Iv never met some one that didn't know what animals were besides like sounds in the woods but once told they knew what it was this guy didnt know what a coyote was beside the Wiley one from loony toons. This is why I'm never moving to a city I want my kids to know what grass is and what howls at the moon not gun shots and screams in the night.

Yes and no on the trails when doing missions we run threw the woods but it's in full battle rattle and it's not far well some times it seems far bit it's usually under a click it's been longer at times. Runnin the track I am way slower because iv been running over 2 on the road in under 16 but the test is on the track a 2 miles is 4 and a 3rd times around which is better then the track at home station 8 times around. I had saucanys and I ripped then out in under a month I just bought NB an they seem pretty good alot better then my 5 year old nikes that are falling apart.

I'm not making excuses I'm just saying it's not a easy to go from couch potato to track star iv lost a ton of weight and 3 inches off my waist plus shaved minutes off my run in a mater of 2 weeks in busting I disagree. There's no doubt I'll pass it this next time iv been out on a small FTX for these past few days and I still found time to do pt ontop of the running around on missions flanking and all that other stuff we do. I should have never allowed my self to get in the condition I was in but layin in bed with the wife always seemed the better option then running in the WNY weather wheezing for air. Now I'm I'm the mind set ad life style and I'm motivated doing above and beyond every one else in my platoon or company even to get into shape.

Well I suck the big one when it comes to running between my build and asthema iv had a very hard time running. Granted yes 2 miles isn't far for people who can run and are bean poles im a short stocky guy I don't fare well at running distance. Now if throwing a loaded ruck an full combat load on and road marching up and down hilly roads or across some woods or mountain in your man but put sneakers on me and say go I'm done for.

We had a warning here in camp Shelby Mississippi I didn't see nothing just lots of lightning the siren went off a guys were saying one touched down by the south gate 2 miles down the road I just turned my music up and layed in my bunk drowning out the siren. I heard Alabama got hit good though

That's funny my son does the same thing he will be 3 in may I miss the little Bugger. He blew my wife in the other week to Oma(my mom) we were hiding from my mom that they got the German Shepard and web he was visiting Oma so my wife could have a ladies night he told Oma all night about his "big puppy" that he's not supposed to tell grandma but he can tell Oma cuz she's not grandma. He doesn't understand Oma and grandma are the same thing lol.
