I nail smallmouth on the mini version never had luck withthe full size. I just reel em on a stop and go retreve bumping into rocks and logs. I usually run a mister twister for a trailer

I'm sure they will have a left handed version befor long its still on the drawing board not even in production yet I believe. Wasn't it not to long ago like 90% of the BC out there were rh only and the lefty is a newer development. Give it time they will work the bugs out ofer lh models and prolie change something else all the pics iv even seen are CG renderings not actual pictures.

I have a revo sx paired with a 76MHF veritas spooled with 17lb vanish. I use this rod for my jigs and plastics. Pfluger echlon paired with a 7mh lightning rod with 50lb power pro this is my frog rod. The reel and rod arnt great hold up decent only isue is the reel feels loose. quantim tennacy ap combo with a 66M rod spooled with 10lb trilene xs. This set up is sadly my most used and cheapest I throw spinners cranks weighless plastics u name it with this set up. But this is also the reel that took a crap on me it seizes up the more I use it. It starts of smooth and nice it casts far but after a few hrs it seizes when u reel it in like freezes solid. Its not a great set up it cost me 39.99 new from dicks. I want to buy a new spool for the revo and take the last combo out of the picture for now. Iv cleaned and lubed all my reels every season and then lube them once a week. I also have a bps xtreme spinning combo I use for finnese fishing this is my other crappy set up id love to send to the bottom of the lake.

Bend the wire to the oppisite side I believe. I'm not certain which direction I'm trying think of how I do it when I do. Either way bend the wire either left or right some times just bend it tighter down so the blades are more swept and closer to the hook this can help the look and swim of the spinner as well

I was throwing them in the thickest of grass mats half the time it didn't do anything but as soon as it hit a open hole with some water it instantly started throwing water and would get hit with the most explosive strike iv ever seen. I reeled it dead slow holding my rod at the like 1030 or 11 o'clock postition well sitting in the canoe. My rod reel set up was a old pfluger echlon on a 7MH amp rod. I also drew a lot of strikes running it along the edge of the grass right on the line of grass mats and open water.

Nice catch if u plug your measurments into the bps calc it comes out to be 7.9lbs the BR calc always makes my fish with the same measurments bigger the the bps one. But I use the formula of L x L x W / 1200 give u a close estimate that's the formula bps uses

Does anyone buy spare spools for there baitcasters I was watching the bass pros and KVD suggested it and am now thinking of buying a spare one for my revo sx and throwing some braid on it.

The only issue I had was every now and then it would slide down the bend of the hook exposing the point more cartching leaves and grass. The fish were just destroying it there wasn't a single swing and miss all day till it got late and darker then they started to miss it. I'm throwing it on 50lb power pro to a 5/0 gammy ewg superline hook.

Took my wife worm and bobber fishing Thursday night its bout the only way she will fish lately which I don't mind at least she's fishing with me. It started kinda slow compared to normal for that spot till after 10min I noticed she was getting tiny little nibbles she didn't even notice. So I'm sitting there doing my usual "babe your getting a bite....babe set the hook......alexis yank already" because she tends to gut hook 95% of her fish even with circle hooks. But after me telling her to set the hook she finaly did and this wasn't her normal 3inch blue gill. She started pulling and I seen this big silvery black fish tugging so I thought oh a little bass. As she brings it closer I totice its a massive crappie. She measured 16.5 inches this thing was huge I lipped it with the whole palm of my hand like I do the bigger bass. It wasn't thick or heavy though it was like anorexic skinny must of just spawned out. Still none the less a huge crappie my wife was so proud and exited and so was I. She kept rushing me to get another hook and worm on her line saying"common clayton where there's one crappie there's more hurry" but that was the only one we caught all night. She did gut hook it as well so I cut the hook as far down the shank as I could reach and tosed it back after a few pictures.

I thought I was gonna hit it outa the park last night me and the nephew hit our secret hole loaded with a very healthy population of bass with some brutes in there. But none of the big girls came out to play I caught 20+ on the rage shad all in the 2 ta 3lb range. Man did they fight good and they all were fat chunkers looked like they were bout to spawn a 2nd time. I doubt they were they were busting minnows all over the place they just like to eat there.

I had the best day of fishing of the year last night not big fish just a lot of hard hitting hard fighting bass. All my fish were in the 2-3lb range and came on 1 lure 1 soft plastic the same 1 soft plastic for over 20fish(I stoped at 19 but caught a bunch in consecutive and lost count) but this 1 particular bait never riped never tore just created one explosive strike after another. What is this bait you ask? None other then rage shad this thing was just amazing. I found some at gander the other week 50% off picked up 2 packs. Its now my favorite lure the strikes this thing produced were insane plus 20+ fish on one bait no riping or tearing is just amazing I'm so impressed id stock up on em but really no need cuz they last for ever there just amazing.

I'm slaying them now on rage craw in bama craw color on a 1/2oz tungsten weight pitched into wood covor or ripped threw grass. I have some space monkeys and can't get a nibble fished the same way

Iv had that a lot this year with every lure and hook I use almost idk if iv forgot how to fight a fish over winter or what it is just a lot of fish throwing my hooks this year. I know its not dull hooks or anything on my part some times its just the name of the game bad luck or something. I can count 3 diffrent quality bass in diffrent bodies of water that have came unbuttoned at the bank or edge of the canoe on a rage craw t rigged and the hook wasn't even exposed they just held on for the ride of there life.

My buddy used to live in sunset there the Mcdonalds they just sold the place a few years ago. But there's def biger fish there at the mouth I might go there tomorrow to check it out try to get in off the banks or borrow my buddys canoe and lunch in kuckville. Its usually all grass and pads at least last year it was this years kinda screwy.

I did I had one pole with liver one with crawlers neither got hit the gobys didn't even steal my worms that's just un heard of

I used to fish that way when a kid and my teen years now I can't stand it but that's how my wife likes to fish so iv been doing it more and more I found a nice little spot with non stop bluegill action. My wife thinks I have add because I hate fishing with live bait and I'm always moving and looking around even when driving. She hate it well be going down the road having a convo and ill stop mid sentance and be like "look a buck" or doe or groundhog what ever or " look at that guys pond its huge I want a pond like that" she hates it she's always talking bout the babys or work and I change subject quick bout some wild animal or pond.

There def there I'm from lyndonville and live in medina now but that's my home waters right there I'm getting smallies at the trussel and in kuckville by the bend. Above the falls in lyndonville has been killer for lmb now as well with kicker pike. U could always launch at pointbreeze and work up the oak flipping the docks.

Hope your son feels better but you need to go get some smallies one in ur whole life is terrible idk what id do without bronzebacks in my fishing life

I keep mine in the original bags and then I put them in gallon ziplock bags all craws in one lizards another senkos another and so on and so forth. That way I just grab the craw bag and all my craw baits are there I just pick the bag outa that one that I wanna use. I carry a tacklebag aka old duffle bag all my bottom draging plastics on one end all mid and top water on the other end pocket

We went saterday for 4 hours or so 8 to 1230ish I didn't get a nibble all night. My nephew said he got a few hits but I think it was the wind because the rod tip was just shimming a little bit not bowing. He was using a uglystick ML so its not the stiffest rod out there and the slightest breeze made his pole go nuts. So we didn't catch anything not even a cold

There's actually a don't eat list for most the great lakes and there tributarys I think the sheepshead(freshwater drum) ia on that list I'm not 100% sure though but I wouldent be surprised.

That's almost all I fish here in wny I grew up fishing them. Just last year alone I nailed 3 6lb smallies outa johnsons here in wny and its mostly 3ft deep with some deepholes down to 12ft. I usualy throw grubs,j9 rapalas, rebel floater craws, spinners and mini buzz baits. Occasionaly I borrow a canoe and go above the falls on said river where its deeper and more cover to fish last night I got 3 bass all over 3lbs one at 4.6 then 2 decent pike.

Thanks I lost 4 others about the same size on the frog as well 2 on a stanley ribbit 2 on the spro so I switched to a white and red scum frog and landed the first 2 that bit that one was the bigest the other messured 17x10. Got em in a back creek channel little coves over grown with pads and grass. Bass were up shallow and pike were on a mad patrol on the edges in deeper water edging the cove. I got 3 goodsized bass and 2 crazy pike that destroyed my booyah spinner

Woohoo I'm on to board and taking the lead with 19x13 LMB caught on ole faithfull scumfrog. I used some fishing math tacken from the BPS calculator because my phone won't let me use the BR one but using L x L x W / 1200 gives it a weight of 3.91083333333....... I got pics that I will try to post but lately it hasn't let me but I can email them to whoever wants proff and they can post pics if you would like *edit* got on the BR calc it says 4.6lbs!!! But honestly it wasn't 4 and a half pounds I can see 4 lbs closer to the BPS calc weight but its your call BPS calc weight of 3.9 or BR calc of 4.6
