I'm looking at getting a new rod this year and iv got my eye on the tec spec 7'6" telescoping flipping rod. but i picked one up in the store and the eyes were crooked and the eyes were facing hard left and it wouldn't budge. granted it was only one rod that was like that. I'm just worried bout the blank twisting on me like that one in the store.

how much weight does a bass gain when she is full of eggs. my nephew and I fish a private lake with some 7 and 8 pounders in it that was 2 years ago so with the spawn and hopefully them growing possibly a state record the current one is 11lbs 4oz. its probably high hopes and dreams but isn't that a reason to fish

yeah i hear ya there i was upset to move off the lake but were closer to work now. the water clarity isn't to bad a little stained on the overflow side clear on the main river side. I'm not a big trout fisherman but want to try this year i just used in line spinners last time. once the ice melts above the dam I'm out there going for bass getting weird looks from the trout guys.

there definitely catching em now must of been 30 or more vehicles parked at the dam Saturday. browns occasionally and steels for the majority. i used to live right on lake Alice and the dam till about a month ago now i live on the oak farther down in Medina between lake Alice and glennwood lake. i might get out there again this weekend

were those recently i was below waterport dam saterday with no luck the over flow was going strong and the water levels are fairly high with this rain and melt off along with only 1 turbine going.

any WNYers fish lake alice or oak orchard river.

ditto except the combo i use is the cheap quantum tenacy ap from dicks the whole set up ran me 39.99 and iv caught tons of fish on it from 5lb smb to 6lb lmb and 40in pike with out a prob all on weightless mini flukes and some trilen 10lb xt

the one by me just stocked up on a ton of stuff i would never imagine to see at wally world. pflueger reels(baitcaster and spinning) the KVD mustad treble hooks, 2 packs of trocars they didn't last long. actual rat l traps usually its just cotton cordell's and some nice fishouflage bags with 370 boxes included(5) for 30 bucks

me and my brother in law try explaining that to my wife when she gets on my case about fishing and hunting it could be worse i could drink and smoke and a ton of other things but instead i just hunt and fish i haven't drank sense i turned 21 4 years ago. so really hunting and fishing isnt that bad of a habbit

has anyone done the grand slam of bass fishing they had articles about it in bass master magazine last year or so. i wanna try and do it its 5 species of bass or something like that i cant remember the details or what 5 it is. i ran the idea past my wife for when i get back from deployment she didn't like the idea but i got 2 years to pry.

yup Noah my soon to be 2year old breaks everything my wife collects those willow tree figurines my son has broke almost all of them. hes exited to have a new baby to the family I'm just worried he will sit on the baby or try to stick his keys in the baby's ear or something lol hes at the terrible 2 stage

i sue duo locks on everything but jigs and tubes they seem to hang up in the rocks and snag a lot more with the snap then just tying right to the lure

i get the "do u really need more or that many" line alot but i just tell her plastic baits don't last long which is some what true she doesn't know i still got 3 packs in my bag. she also doesn't get why i need all the different colors baby bass,shad, chartreuse all she goes by is "aw that ones cute it looks like a baby fishy"

its not breaking down by the spool when it does snap its like the first 6 inches of the line after the knot anywhere from 1 to 6 inches up the line. cuz iv gone swimming to get some of them lucky lures back lol

my wife will complain some times even though we have a deal that regular paychecks go towards bills and the kids and stuff she wants. but my army drill pay funds my hobbies fishing,hunting(.243 ammo is crazy expensive), R/C trucks,paintball so i just buy her her "cute" lures and then i get to go nuts on everything else. as long as she gets some pink cute lures she lets me blow my weekly fund. she loves to fish just the same stoping to pee or eat especialy right when the fish turn on

i like to think fishings in there blood lol. when the wife was prego with the first she could out fish anyone then had the baby and couldent catch a fish to save her life nothing worked she would loose fish id hook and hand off to her. shes prego again and what do ya know she gets one like every cast again. shes a fishermen by injection

well my wife had her sonogram yesterday for our second kid. its another boy we already have 1 son who will be 2 in may and now were having boy number 2 in August. we were hoping for a girl but were still happy with a healthy little boy. just gotta come up with all new names we had all girls names picked out lol.

im in the same boat me and my 20mo old son sit and watch fishing every morning well waiting for the wife to get ready. i went out trout fishing Saturday in the only place with open water it sucked. i fell several times and the water levels were really high no good. not to mention iv never gone trout fishing. i was looking at my fishing log from last year i caught my first bass of the year march 25th but there's still 20"+ of ice in that spot.
