  1. Thanks, Ive had the glasses for 2 years. There isnt any smell coming off the frames or anything. I havent tried other glasses but I may have to now.
  2. Thanks for all the responses guys, I'll answer some of your questions.. As far as water or sunscreen thats a no. My boat is a dry ride and the sunscreen well I forgot it at home, first day out on the water I was a little too excited. I put some in the boat locker now though. I just want to clarify on the burning eyes, its a slight burning/ irritation feeling not extreme burning but its uncomfortable. I work outside a lot during both the summer and winter on roofs servicing equipment without wearing any glasses and my eyes don't get this same burning feeling, Seems like it only happens after a long day fishing on the water. As far as the dry eyes, my mother suffers from dry eye and she often has watering eyes and is constantly bothered by it. Where as I don't- I don't know if this is the problem. Traveler, as far as the blue lense. We'll they seem to work pretty well, theyre a mix of blue and yellow I believe, When I purchased them there was a choice on lense colour, basically they broke it down to shallow and deep water lense abilities, and I purchased off of that. Shallow was up to 20' deep so thats the lense I chose. Heres the link for them. http://ca.oakley.com/products/4868/16309
  3. After a full day on the water my eyes burn even with my polarized glasses on. I bought a pair of oakley monster dog fishing glasses with a blue lense last year, the polarization seems great as far as cutting glare but my eyes are fatigued and burn after a day on the water. Is this common? Should I be looking into a better pair of glasses? I don't want vision problems in the long run. Fish on!
  4. Makes sense thanks
  5. When pre fishing for a tournament do I need to worry about catching fish today that ill need a week ahead?
  6. I fish out of a z6 nitro, lots of space in my lockers but they're just completely open. I put rod gloves on all my rods but I have no protection from my reels bouncing around into each other, anyone have a rack or an idea to protect them?
  7. I had it, and I ended up using some epoxy. I cleaned off the insert, used a tooth pick and dipped it in some epoxy and spread it around the outside of the insert and inside of the guide. Popped it in and put a little epoxy on the joint between the insert and guide. Waited 12 hours for it to cure, worked flawlessly and looks great. Won't need to replace the guide now.
  8. The second or third guide from the tip on my St Croix premier rod popped out last year and I never got around to fixing it, I would just push it back and continued using it, I'm getting my gear ready for the season opener here and was wonder if I could use some epoxy around the outside of the insert before popping back in place. Any comments?
  9. Thanks War eagle, I ended up setting it up on 50 lb braid yesterday!
  10. I second the last one, then shortly after I like to forage lol
  11. Ive decided to throw more of these styled baits this season, Working them in deep and shallow grass. Have you find a particular situation where these baits really shine? Also what line are you primarily throwing them on? Braid or fluoro?
  12. I used some thin gauge welding wire, strung up 60 rattles and used some spray paint, worked perfectly and only took 15 mins
  13. Sounds like some good ideas, Im gonna it a shot. I'll post back with the method that worked best
  14. I have a couple of those baits but never used them yet, Where and how do you like to fish them?
  15. As the title states, my supplier ran out of black rattles so I ended up buying 200 clear rattles. I tried using rit dye but it didnt work. I need to come up with a method to paint these now, has anyone come up with a method?
  16. I often hear about the inside line and outside line when fishing Specifically fishing vegetation one can concentrate on the inside line - behind the predominant weed edge Outside line- infront of the predominant weed edge During obvious times like the spawn we can find the majority of the bass behind and on the inside lines, as the spawn comes to an end most bass move closer to the edge and begin to post on the outside line closer to deep water. What kind of conditions other than seasonal trends will bass go against this general statement?
  17. I'll give it a shot again today with a different frame of mind. I'll follow up with how it went, thanks
  18. Easier said than done lol, looks like hell the skirt strands get kinked to ****, and some don't separate. I'm close to throwing it in the garbage
  19. Wow this stuff is a pain in the.. To work with, tangles itself up quickly and gets kinky, what's the best way to work with this stuff when it comes to separating the strands
  20. I've got them in every colour, skirt material, size, hook, style. More jig rods than anything else in my lockers. No better way of catching fish, than setting hook with a jig. As much as I love them if you haven't guessed I often wonder if there's such a thing as throwing it too often? What are the times that you really would rather throw something else other than, whether it be due to weather, time of year ( prespawn, spawn, post, summer, winter) water clarity and temp?
