  1. Irod Fiber 744. A little longer, but would do the trick. Handle is 14.5" which is a couple inches shorter than your Veritas. I pitch with the Genesis 2 733 which has a 15" handle and I love that rod. The Fiber 744 just adds more backbone.
  2. For me it goes rod, line, then reel. That being said, I do own some $300+ Daiwas
  3. Irod "Gabe's Rip Rap Special" Irod "Fred's Crank Launcher Jr"
  4. The lack of memory and overall handling of Defier is amazing. I absolutely love 15lb for just about anything topwater or small to medium crank. I did not enjoy Armilo, but I only used the 19lb & 22lb.
  5. 50 or 60lb FX2, Spro 65, and a polymar knot. You shouldn't be having issues. I have never broke braid at the know frog fishing.
  6. Irod Crusher and Genesis II. Both are split EVA foam.
  7. I throw Spro 65s which are 5/8oz 99% of the time. I have thrown the Jr which is 1/2oz a few times. It can handle it fine.
  8. In case MassBassin decides to go with Fred's Magic Stick. It's 754 not 765
  9. Get the Fred's Magic Stick. You won't be disappointed. Good tip for walking frogs. Tons of backbone for pulling them out of the thickest slop.
  10. Daiwa Tatula CT 7.3 on a IROD Lone Star Special 7'3"MH
  11. One more for the IROD 703cc. It's one bad stick!
  12. Armilo is a more abrasion resistant mono. It has less stretch also. A very good all around mono, but at the price of most fluorocarbon lines.
  13. Irod Genesis I I Andy's Junk Rod if you want a parabolic action Or IROD Genesis I I Andy's X Heavy Flippin' Stick Or IROD Crusher 764 if you prefer a faster more traditional action. I really like my Crusher. Very sensitive in my hands
  14. Daiwa Pixy's or Alphas SV
  15. Daiwa Liberto Pixy or PX Type R or PX68 or Alphas Type F or Alphas Finesse Custom or Alphas SV or well you get the idea
  16. Awesome! Thanks
  17. Anyone know where I can find these in bulk? https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/search-tackle.html?from=basres&start=0&count=20&searchtext=tube+baits
  18. make sure you have a solid hang over and the delay from that should give you enough time to set the hook on them after they take it . Nah, JK. The key is to make sure you feel them on the line and that they actually have taken the frog. I would also suggest trying different colors. I have thrown a white belly and had blow ups and misses, but switched to black belly only to catch the heck out of them.
