I use grubs as a recon lure, 1/4oz basic jig and a 3" power grub to read the layout and to see if the fish are biting

I think it's equal. Our local ones sucks just as bad, it's sad to walk in and see hundreds of different reels and only 5 rods of each brand if I'm lucky. Really, 5 st croix rods and 7 loomis, but they got 1000 ugly sticks. Crap at least STOCK your competition right so you could compare in-store

Go to your nearest walmart, their on clearance, well all three conolons/cherrywoods/lightnings are, still might have a bunch left, if not check out some other walmarts

I wouldn't doubt the big boy stores get lazy and just rely on 'order online' instead of fully stocking shelves. It's not about having every item in store, the popular ones that sell good are out

I wouldnt put cheap and no-name in the same category, when cheap is implied it usually means discounted therefore it was at one time a full priced lure.
