Hey KU!!
That game was INCREDIBLE!!!!! Sorry, I can't say I am disappointed ;D ;D ;D Acie Law is out of this world. That guy needs more pub. I like to think I follow college b-ball pretty closely especially Big 12. I had never even heard of him until the game in Lawrence. Since then I have really been paying attention. No doubt in my mind he is a first team All-American. And then there is Kevin Durant. He gets the pub and deservedly so. I think he should be a first teamer too.

2nd annual BR.com roadtrip!!!
Be careful guys. I heard Long Mike has very expensive taste for beer ... Samuel Adams' Utopias at about $100 a bottle. http://edition.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/americas/02/10/ultimate.beer/ ;D ;D ;D Nice work Mike and a very generous offer.

Big Industry News!!!
To me it sounds like Wal-Mart is maybe hand picking which stores or regions to sell tackle. I know my local Wal-Mart has cut down there fishing stuff by half over the winter and when I was in there a few weeks ago an employee said they were going to cut it in half again. Sounds like other ones are actually expanding??

Citica vs Curado (100D's)
After much pondering I decided to go with the Curado. I went to BPS and held them both side by side and the Curado seemed a tad more solid and smooth. I am one of those people who can't choose the lesser of two options. I will drive myself crazy with the "If I would have spent X amount more" That X amount (w/in reason of course) is a small price to pay for peace of mind.

Bummer
You hear it so often and it's so cliche', but it is so true. Hate to hear about your unfortunate circumstances at the moment though. Hang tough.

What is your opinion on this?
I love it. I personally think it has little to on effect on the fishery.

What are fish hitting....
I've been absolutely slaying them on the helicopter lure. 8-)

rods with Revolving guides
;D ;D You know, convert from casting to spinning in a matter of seconds. ;D ;D I think he is talking about recoil guides. The only ones I have heard that have them are a certain Loomis line. There could be more out there. I don't know???

the most fun thing about spinning tackle
Is this really the Avid we all know and love? or an imposter? :) ;D Someone call the hospital. Avid's officially gone coo-coo ;D Actually this is eerily similar to me last year. I thought avid and I shared the same views on spinning gear ...... traitor ;D. Anyways, last year I decided to give spinning gear one more try and purchased about the best quality set-up I could afford. More than I had ever spent on a baitcasting set-up. For the first few months everything was great, and actually even enjoyed it a little but keep that on the hush hush. Then it took a turn for the worst. On back to back trips I lost would would have probably been my two biggest bass last year. So I said screw it and sold it off and got myself a Scorpion MG/Legend Tourney combo and everything is much better now. I lost those two fish mainly because of user error, but there is NO DOUBT in my mind that had I been using finesse baitcasting gear with the same conditions (line and drag settings) that I would have landed those two fish. It's just not worth it to me Good luck with 'er avid. I do realize this is partly due to your shoulder condition. But please tell had you not have the shoulder condition, you would have opted for the Steez BC. Right???

Shaky Head Rod
I have this rod as well. Although I just got it and have yet to catch a fish with it, I am very impressed with the little amount I have casted around with it. I had the ML and ended up exchanging it for the M. It just felt a tad under powered IMO. Although I probably generally prefer a stouter feeling rod than most people.

Ranger & Triton Responses on G-Man's Classic DQ
Why would Ranger do anything in the first place??? He is sponsored by Triton. As far as I know he has nothing to do with Ranger. To me that says a lot about both companies to respond to you so quick, especially Ranger when the question did not pertain to one of their staffers.

ESPN'S GRADE ON CLASIC COVERAGE...
Better than nothing ........... but not by much. D+ The last two Classics were pretty good as far as the coverage went. This one was PITIFUL and that's too bad because this one was probably the best as far as the way the tourney shook down. They got the (+) because they had the live weigh-in online. What they showed on TV was pathetic. I also don't really have a problem of when they aired it on TV. It's getting down to crunch time in college basketball and racing just started up, both of which are way bigger then bass fishing (even if it is the Classic), so they had to show what appealed to their mass audience. It would have been nice though to see 5 to 10 minute live updates through out the day
