  1. <--------- A Little Caney resident. That arm is the BOMB. All in all it doesn't sound like a bad trip. And it sounds like you guys did get that one big bite, but unfortunately have the same story I am sure thousands of people have on that lake
  2. Keep the "forecast" in mind, but come prepared for everything. When I was there a couple years ago for a 4 day trip I experienced everything from the mid 30's to the low 80's ... rain, sleet, and wind.
  3. I have to hand it to one of the ESPN staffers on their website. They picked Duckett to win and coined him as the best fisherman you have never heard of.
  4. Round and round she goes, where she stops ... nobody knows
  5. The fishing bum at your service
  6. When I first read/heard that he was DQ'ed it seemed a little ridiculous. After seeing the video, that was definitely a BAD decision (very dangerous as well) and the punishment fit the crime
  7. Yeah, but where's the trolling motor
  8. I believe I saw Ike using them and I believe that was a WHOLE LINE-UP I saw in Aarron Marten's deck this morning on the Classic
  9. He was not sight fishing so it doesn't matter. The only time they have to be hooked in the mouth is when you can physically see the fish you are trying to catch.
  10. Mary is definitely a nice touch :-* I agree too. In the little I have seen so far it seems to "work"
  11. I believe it would be Mookiet ;D
  12. What are you talkn' bout??? I found one.......
  13. Boyd Duckett ..... OK, so I cheated. He is in the un-official lead right now by about a pound. I did however pick him for my fantasy team because he was a local with a low point value. I started doing a little research on the Bassmaster website and one of the editors actually picked him before the tourney started .... He called him "The best fisherman you've never heard of".
  14. Maybe I am the only one ..... but I have had a few of them tell me I was beautiful. As for the post .... I don't kiss and tell
  15. I am actually not a real big fan of the LV's. To me they look waayyyy better than Rat-l-traps, but I have had better luck with the traps by a long shot.
  16. eeeekkkkk!!! I just sent mine in and having them replaced with Vermilion lenses...(chose them over Amber). : You might want to give Costa a call. Their customer service is top notch and they will answer questions like this. I called a few weeks ago and explained my situation and they recommended 3 lens colors I wanted a lens for: #1 Sight fishing in all conditions - freshwater #2 Low light fishing days - freshwater #3 Driving They recommended - Vermilion, Green Mirror (which has an Amber lens), and Amber. The guy who helped me recommended them to me in that order.
  17. Why not?? There is equipment out there well suited for this. Like others have said though, you have to spend some $$$$. IMO it's worth it FOR ME
  18. It's true!!! At 3000 (he said to keep this a secret, but I have to let the cat out of the bag) he sends you an exact replica of his boat. I am however still waiting on both. ;D
  19. Those paintballs might sting a little, but that's about it.
  20. That first pic ...... I think we have seen that pose somewhere before??? Nahhh ... not enough shadows. ;D ;D ;D Chip off the ol' block
  21. I have tried that in the past, but it scares me. That rear hook has saved my butt too many times to take it off. It's a confidence thing. I think I have found a set-up I like ..... #2 Owners up front and #4 Gammies on the rear
  22. I just got my "annual" shipment of Rat-l-traps in (with more on the way) and am in the process of swapping out the hooks. In years past I have used size 4 all the way around. I am thinking this year I might put a 2 up front and a 4 on the rear. Any thoughts?? I like the idea of a slightly bigger hook up front, but it looks HUGE.
