  1. I agree with you pscarbor. Spinnerbaits do not catch bass!!!!!!! : ;D
  2. Those are my thoughts EXACTLY!!!!! There are just too many things against Perry's "catch".
  3. Yep, that's the risk vs. reward you got to weigh out. There's arguments for both sides that can go on for days. : Congrats on the purchase!!!!!! That has got to feel good. So when's the maiden voyage?
  4. I just decked my 14 fter and the front deck just lays on the benches. I used 1/2 inch plywood coated with fiberglass resin. There was a little flex in the deck so I ended up putting some supports on the bottom. That something you will just have to see if you need. Here's the support I rigged for the front deck: (Ignore the long things on the side. That was just to take some bow out of the plywood) And remember all of these decks are completely removable, except the one on the rear bench which will have a seat bolted down, per LBH's advice. It's a really nice feature. That way you can take them out and clean the boat and put them inside for winter storage. Plus the front deck will be liftable so I can store life vest, telescopic push pole, oars, anchors, and marker buoys. Hopefully I will completely finish my baot in the next couple weeks. I have to get the seats in, install my depth finder, and paint the trailer. I am debating on whether or not to paint the boat. That might be a project for this fall or next spring. I WANT TO GET ON THE WATER!!!! :
  5. Here's a a bigger pic of his boat:
  6. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/03/22/earlyshow/living/petplanet/main1429739.shtml On the right hand side.
  7. http://sports.espn.go.com/outdoors/conservation/index My video turned out, but right after I posted it Roger found this link so I deleted my post. It's on the right hand side. And yes Madhouse, I pulled the recliner right in front of the tv and rested my elbows on my kness to keep it as steady as possible. If there is a will there is a way. ;D
  8. LOL .... I just posted the video I took of PTI. This one is much better.
  9. OK, I took a video of the video ;D. I am going to try to post it if I can figure out how.
  10. They ae going to show the bass on PTI.
  11. Will this actually make the boat sit higher, or is it more of a saftey feature?
  12. It's not a fact that it was a new WR. No certified scale to confirm that, and no measurements. A picture and a video does not prove the weight. If you bring up that the digital scale cannot be off by 3lbs. It can be off that much if it's broken, or gets stuck. And it's most definitely not a IGFA certified scale. What were they doing out on the water alone with the bass? They also could have been out on the boat removing the weights. Who knows. The bottom line is that is not certified or verified. Everybody is guessing that it is a WR that's all. It is a big fish though. Just like all of those other 20lb plus Cali bass. No proof guys. Until next time. Keep on fishing!!! Rattletrap, I find it hard to believe you accept Perry's record with no problem, but are so critical of this "could have been" one. And about the measurements ....... I think they are worthless. Go to the Texas Share-a-Lunker website and put those fish in the weight calculator. And as far as the digital scale (the scale was brand new), couldn't they get it certified now meaning at the time they weighed the fish, the scale was certified.
  13. They are about to show the video of the Possible WR bass!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Madhouse, you and I sound a lot alike ...lol. I agonize over purchases and one of the first places I go to see how far I can stretch my dollar is Ebay. I hardly ever buy anything off there, but look at prices of things quite often.
  15. http://www.fieldandstream.com/fieldstream/fishing/article/0,13199,1175441,00.html# Here's the link to the article. This by far gives the most info out of anything we have seen yet. The story is starting to become clearer. We also have to consider the source here though. I am glad their are names to the witnesses though. Most of the time it is a nameless source.
  16. Watch the video on Sportscenter tonight. They have the video of the fish on the scale and the scale reads 25 something.
  17. A new 2006 runs around $22K. (plus dealer prep, shippoing and sales tax, an additional $2600 altogether) Not set on aluminum, but for the money I don't know what quality I could get in fiberglass. Not set on brand new, would consider a good used one. If I were you and are willing to spend that kind of dough on a boat, I would get a used 2 or 3 year old 19 to 20 ft. Fiberglass that has all the bells and whistles you could ever want.
  18. What make and model 18 foot fiberglass would you advise for the money? Stratos ..... the best bang for your buck out there!!!!
  19. LBH, read up above. I updated it.
  20. You can watch them online here: http://www.lunkerville.com/ltv.html I've watched just about all of them. It's a pretty cool idea for a show At one point or another they have all said they were on the show on this board. That's how I found out about them "NYPD Bass" is earthworm77 "Georgia on My Mind" is Randall "Dodgeguy drives Hyundai" is dodgeguy
  21. Oh yeah, and HawgHunter's local news station did a story on him.
  22. We have two other celebs on here that I know of ..... Randall and dodgeguy. Both of them on the same show.
  23. What a great story and a stand up guy!!!
