Poll: The Best Lure for Quantity
I picked a fluke, but for me it is really a toss up between a fluke and a 3" Stik-o.

one color of plastic
Junebug works for me year round.

Flukes
Watermelon, or pearl. One of those colors always works.

I HATE the wind :\
If I want to fish cover or structure, and pick it apart, I will drop a 15 pound anchor. If I am fishing a flat or want to go down a shoreline, I just let the wind take me if it is blowing in the right direction.

Only 3 fish today 16.75lbs
Dang! You've been busy! Good job!

If it takes "10,000 hours to master something"...
I could probably go back through my logs and come up with some kind of number, but that seems like a lot of work.

have you ever just quit using a bait?
This happens at the end of the fishing season. I put a bait away, and forget about it until I see it again. Then I kick myself for not using it.

Early Spring Crankbaits
Shallow running crankbaits, and lipless baits mostly. Usually if I can fish them around grass, all the better.

2 baits, 2 chunks, 2 cool
Good going!

Worn out plastics ( senkos )
Once they get too beat up for a t-rig, I use them as a jig trailer. When they get too beat up to be used as a jig trailer, they get used as a ned rig.

If you could go back..
Probably start bass fishing more. Back when I use to catfish a lot, bass fishing was something you did when the cat were not biting.

Favorite "finesse swimbaits"
I have a bunch of Mister Twister sassy shads in the 2" size. I put them on a 1/8 ounce jig head, and I am set.

Best bass fishing lure for this time of year
The water is still pretty cold around here. I have been using jigs, lipless baits, and t-rigged craws mostly.

From good to great
What helped me was reading the articles on this site, then going out on the water. What you read may not work the exact same way where you are fishing, but it can give a very good starting point.

Bummer. Is there a lot of vegetation on the bottom?

A little anxious yesterday.
I went out yesterday for a couple of hours after work at a pond that is not far from my house. This pond is kind of out in the woods somewhat so it is a little colder, and more windy, than the surrounding area. I was using my bc and had my spinning rig propped up against a tree. I kept hearing this whistle coming from behind me and for my life I could not figure out what it was. After a few minutes I moved down the pond a little, and the whistle came with me. A few more minutes and I am ready to pack up and move. I can't tell what is making the sound or where it is coming from. I pick up my stuff and head over to the pond's dam. The dam is more open without as many trees. As I am walking on the dam I hear the whistle again only this time I can tell where it is coming from. The whistle is being made from the wind blowing through the holes on my President reel's spool. I felt kind of silly, and relieved all at the same time.

Is there a senko stickbait alternative, weight wise ?
I like the BPS Stik-o. It is not as soft as a senko, but you can cast them a mile without a weight.

Single Colorado Blade Spinnerbait
I like to let them sink all the way to the bottom, and then slow roll it back in. I just reel in fast enough so that I can feel the blade turning.
