Splitting fuel and other costs with a regular partner
My dad would pay for the gas for the trip down to the lake and back, and I would pay for the gas for the boat, as well as, putting the boat in the water. We would split just about everything else 50/50.

Lost and Found
Last year at the the boat ramp I found a pair of locking pliers, and wire cutters. Later on I found two spinnerbaits and a buzzbait up different trees.

keep getting snagged
When I am fishing rocks I start out with a t-rig to find out what the bottom is like. If I hit a lot of snags I keep fishing the t-rig.

Crankbait for 1 to 3 feet of water?
That is the same reason why I learned to fish with a jig and craw. The lake near me sees very heavy pressure on the weekends, and most of it is crankbaits, and plastic worms.

When do you check your fishing holes for ice out fishing?
I have a couple of ponds around my house that I check on the drive home from work. If they have been clear of ice for a few days then the lakes I fish are usually clear of ice except back in the creeks and coves.

Best terminal tackle storage ideas
I keep the bullet weights, split shots, and smaller size hooks in empty medicine bottles from the pharmacy. They fit in the 3700 box, and the cap on the bottle keeps the stuff from spilling all over. I just write on the label with a Sharpie.

Going Absolutely Crazy!!!
You can reorganize tackle, practice pitching and flipping, and read fishing articles, but that can only take you so far.

Landing a fish
I haven't used a net in years. If I can't lip the fish I have a grip that I can use. If the fish is small I will swing them into the boat.

First trip of the year
This morning was the first trip of the year out pond hopping, and I got skunked. On the plus side I didn't lose any baits, nothing broke, and there were no injuries.

Favorite Winter/Cold Water Lures For Largemouths
I use pretty much the same baits that I use in the warm weather. I just work them a lot slower.

Need a FAST response!!!!
Move the bait slow. Deadstick the bait when you are around cover that looks like it might hold bass.

what was your first lure
Cordell Big-O. I caught a lot of fish on that lure before I lost it.
