  1. Whenever I can find some Big O's on sale I buy them. They have caught fish for me for 40 years.
  2. A 4-1/2 lb.largemouth caught on a 3/8 watermelon jig with a green pumpkin Zoom super chunk trailer.
  3. I like the humps on the handles also. Makes the rod easier to hold in cold weather when you have a pair of gloves on.
  4. I usually start with a 3/8 size. If the wind is up, or I am fishing deep I will go with a 1/2 jig. I keep my soft plastics if they are not too far gone, and use them for trailers.
  5. Sometimes I bend them over so that they fan out, and other times I just leave them alone. It depends on the jig. Sometimes I trim the skirt to even it up, but again it depends on the jig.
  6. Good going! You're on them!
  7. My reels are all cleaned up and ready to go. I am in the process of sharpening hooks on the baits now. I will probably have that finished by the end of next week. It should be starting to get warm enough to fish around the end of Feb, or early March. I don't know what I am going to do for four more weeks.
  8. We are suppose to get some light snow tonight or early tomorrow. Probably the same front that is going to hit you on Sunday.
  9. I got sick of listening to all of it a long time ago. St. Louis spent millions on plans for the design of a new stadium to keep the Rams in St. Louis. The news said that the existing stadium should be paid off around 2021, and they still owe millions on that one.
  10. So sorry for your loss.
  11. I usually use 15 pound Big Game for fishing crankbaits.
  12. I would probably keep the boat you own now until it is no longer usable.
  13. I would consider all of the lakes around my house training lakes. Every fishing technique that I use, I learned at those lakes.
  14. I have had pretty good luck using Mr. Twister Sassy Shad in the 3" size.

    That was pretty good.
  16. I have my Dad's 300 which he bought back in early 72 I think. Also have the spools in the containers. Back in the day the 300 was the spinning reel used for bass fishing.
  17. Battery sits out in the garage. About once a month a put the charger on it for a few hours.
  18. I have my old kiddie rod that is about 48 years old. Both of my daughters used it with a Zebco 33 when they learned how to fish about 10 years ago. Last fish that was caught on it was a channel cat about 3 pounds.
  19. Probably a 3/8 watermelon jig with some kind of green trailer. Have good luck fishing it around vegetation.
  20. Nice looking bass! Congrats on the new PB!
  21. Good going! Liked the video too.
