  1. The most challenging thing for me is the weather. On calm days it's pretty easy going, but sometimes when a front moves through I find myself watching the sky more than the water.
  2. I have probably between 50 and 60 jigs. I keep them in different boxes based on weight. Rarely do I throw a heavy jig and a light jig on the same outing.
  3. It sounds like he went doing what he loved to do.
  4. Wow those are some huge waves.
  5. Depending on what I am fishing for, and the bait I am using, I may or may not tie directly to the split ring. When I use a snap I just hook it directly to the split ring if there is one.
  6. All I can say is WOW!. You had a good season.
  7. Mann's 6" worm in black grape color. Depending on how the bass are hitting that I will go up or down in worm size.
  8. A Gerber. Not sure of the model.
  9. That's the way to catch them!
  10. I am asking for gift cards. It is faster for them and safer for me.
  11. Couple of years ago Google Earth caught my Dad and one of his friends fishing out the boat next to the ramp. We printed it off and put it in a frame.
  12. I would learn a jig. I won't use a c-rig unless I have tried everything else.
  13. Big fish, less fight. The more they jump around the more they might get off.
  14. Sometimes I catch small bass by foul hooking them. I think they are just trying to play with the bait instead of eating it.
  15. Same thing here. I can throw a spinnerbait, and get nothing. I start throwing a bladed jig, and I'm start getting hits on it. Seems like white is working the best.
  16. I use to use H rods for jigs and plastics. I have changed over to MH now. About the only thing I use the heavys for is punching through matted vegetation, or fishing in sunken timber.
  17. Rat-l-trap Mann's 1 minus Bladed jig Jig and pig Spinnerbait Around here I usually have better luck with moving baits. If the above don't work I switch over to plastics.
  18. I use one of the BPS red bags from the boat. That usually holds everything I will need for the day. Walking the bank I like to use a box. Sticks and rocks won't tear it, and I can go back to the car for a snack or a drink.
  19. Good going! A nice bass will always warm you up.
