  1. I don't have a clue how many pitches or flips I make in an hour. I worry more about where I should pitch and flip.
  2. I have a 7' BPS ML Micro Lite spinning rod that I use for bluegill, crappie, and trout. I have never had any problem with it. I've never tried catching smallies with it, though.

    Congrats to her!
  4. If I can find a deep weed bed, then I will fish it. Most of the milfoil and hydrilla near the surface dies off in the winter, but down deep you can usually find some.
  5. Flukes have been one of my best bass catchers this year. Might be that your home water is getting fished too much. When I hear the word "park" the first thing that comes to mind is "fishing pressure".
  6. I usually wear layers in case the temp goes up. Last thing I want to do is start to sweat in the cold. I have caught some nasty colds that way.
  7. A nice bass will warm you right up. Way to deal with the cold.
  8. That is a nice looking bass.
  9. It has been the same around here. Since the weather is cooling down, a cold front coming through the area just kills fishing all together.
  10. I would rather take pictures. They are cheaper, easier to get, and you can carry them around with you.
  11. I have a simple rule. If I have to play the bass while I'm reeling it in, I lip it.
  12. As long as the wind isn't blowing too bad and the water hasn't frozen I will be out fishing. I don't catch many fish in the winter, but I am usually the only one on the lake.
  13. I usually go to BPS or shop online at TW. I do swing by Wal-mart every once in a while because you can get some good deals usually in the fall or spring when they change the inventory.
  14. I have snagged quite a few dd grass carp over the years. I see movement in the weeds, cast the bait it, and POW it feels like I hooked a train. They really pull when you hook them in the tail.
  15. The original Halloween, and The Thing. The one with Kurt Russell in it.
  16. This time of year I tend to use 3/4 rat-l-traps and 1/2 jigs with big trailers. The bass bite them better at certain times.
  17. I wonder what his benefit package is like.
  18. I like a reel on the faster side. When Mr. Bass starts swimming toward the boat I want to be able to take up that slack in the line quickly.
  19. A jig is my go to bait.
  20. If its legal, I don't have a problem with people keeping what they catch. On the flip side, I do cringe a little bit when I see a 5 lber on a stringer.
  21. I think I have a little of everything in my bag. If it looks good I tend to buy it. It doesn't matter who made it.
  22. That will teach her to shoot pepper spray at a bear.
  23. Over the past few years I have noticed that I get better bites on bigger baits this time of year. I usually start off with a 3/4 ounce rat-l-trap, or a big jig and pig.
