Its seems like whenever I catch one that small I always need the pliers to get the hook out, and you can't lip them.

I've never spooked a fish unless I was right up on top of them. In 10-15 feet of water you should be ok.

First thing I would do is find out if I could fish there or not. Then I would throw a frog or a weightless t-rig on the far side. Looks like an island off of that far bank.

This year my best topwater chugger has been a pop-r. I have caught at least one bass on it each time I have been out this year.

I will try the frog for a half hour or so and if I don't get any bites I will try another topwater bait. I think I have had 1 hit on a frog so far this year.

That's the way to make those bites count!

I always seem to find carp when I'm throwing a rat l trap. I usually snag them in the tail.

That's the way to do it. Sounds like you're just about hooked on jigs.

Gas went up here 11¢ overnight. Around here the price drops about a nickel over the span of a week and then jumps about 20¢ in one day.

For me it's a Beetle Spin. I do much better with a small rooster tail spinnerbait.

Welcome to the forums. If it is windy I will get down wind, raise the motor, and let the wind push me through the weeds. If there is no wind I will use oars.

That stinks. Over the last 30 years I have had 5 root canals, and two teeth pulled due to infections in them. Take it easy and if you think the meds aren't working, call your dentist.
