  1. This year I have been pretty lucky. I have been able to get out on the water at least once a week since March.
  2. I have learned a TON on this forum, but I try to pick up a little bit of info from everyone I fish with.
  3. Welcome to the forums!
  4. Foul hooked a dead goose one time. I broke the line and kept going.
  5. 5/8 jitterbug over a submerged gravel road.
  6. This year it has been a jig. I start with a 3/8 and go up or down in size depending on the bite.
  7. A pike and muskie strike can scare the living daylights out of you. What gets me is that sometimes they are not bothered by the boat.
  8. You can print off a paper copy and mark it up as you go. You might find something that is not on the maps.
  9. Besides fishing? Not a wbole lot that I can think of.
  10. I use junebug year round in any water, and any sunlight condition.
  11. Weightless senko or fluke worked through the weeds. If you can find some openings that are deep enough you can try to bring a wake bait through.
  12. I like to use them on a t-rig with a 1/16 ounce weight. I work them in vegetation around the bank letting the bait fall into holes in the weeds.
  13. Sounds like a super time night fishing!
  14. Congrats! Great looking bass.
  15. That's a great day right there.
  16. Favorite is a t-rig or a jig worked on the bottom. Least favorite is a C-rig.
  17. I would try it. As long as the weather doesn't get too hot I think the bass will stay in the weedy shallows.
  18. I would find it very hard to pick up and leave a good job, especially if there were little ones depending on me.
  19. I used to think bluegill put up a fight until I started catching hybrid bass last year. Those fish are great on UL gear.
  20. Congrats! They grow really fast. My two newborns are 20 and 14 years old.
  21. Cordell's Boy Howdy has produced pretty good for me over the years.
  22. Tie directly to the bait. You won't have to worry about the snap or swivel breaking and your bait coming off.
