  1. I have been in the basement for the last two days with a shop vac. No flooding, but multiple leaks from the water not having anywhere to go.
  2. I like to put toads on a t-rig with a 1/2 ounce weight, and fish them like a plastic worm. Seems to work really well in thick vegetation.
  3. That's the way to make it all work, Good Job!
  4. We have had around 7" of rain. Ground was already soaked so the new stuff had no where to go. Flash flood warning all day Sat., Sun., and Mon.
  5. For me it is fishing pressure. I started using jigs because a lot of people around here use t-rigged plastics. Not very many use jigs.
  6. Did you get a new bag to carry all of that?
  7. The bass have been hitting small baits around here lately.
  8. One big thing that helped me was changing the way I thought about them. I use to fish jerkbaits like a crankbait. When I started fishing them like a floating t-rigged plastic my bites went way up.
  9. Looks to be around 5. Good Job!
  10. Glad you made it. I would have headed back home.
  11. Gift card to BPS, and a subscription to In-Fisherman magazine on the fishing side. Other stuff included some new clothing.
  12. I have had some luck there, but those lakes get some very heavy fishing pressure on weekends in the morning. It's best to go there during the week, or late in the afternoon on the weekends.
  13. I have two of them. I rotate their use on a regular basis. Very good reels.
  14. I picked up a used 7'0" MH extreme casting rod this past summer. I thought it was very well balanced. I have been using it for everything from squarebills to bladed jigs.

I will throw a popper or a spook first before I will throw a buzzbait. When I do throw a buzzbait I will start off with a white skirt, and a white blade.
  16. I'm going to say Rat-L-Trap, but that is just because I have used them for years. I haven't used the Red eye shad that much.
  17. I tie to the split ring. The only time I remove it is if the ring, or the bait becomes damaged. I think the ring gives the bait a little more action.
  18. Way to go! It's great having soft water in Dec. and being able to get out. Usually sometime around Thanksgiving is when I call it quits for the season, but not this year!
  19. Merry Christmas, Bass Resource!
  20. Well for me it means I can get a line wet instead of just looking at ice.
