My first low profile reel was a BPS tourny special. I used it about 3 or 4 times and the gears seized up inside it. Went and got a replacement for it. The second one lasted about 45 min. before the gears seized up in it. I took the second one back a bought an Abu round reel.

I will start with a 3/8 jig in blue/black, black, black/red, or wateremelon. I will try and match the color of the trailer with the color of the skirt. Normally, I will use a super chunk, or craw, as it warms up outside. This time of year I would put on something that looks like a pork chunk.

I think I do better with sunscreen and bug spray. I have never had any luck with scents.

I would drag a tube across them just to make sure.

What they don't tell you is that it will be an early spring only where the groundhogs are, no where else.

Last time I got out was about 3 weeks ago. Didn't catch anything, but we had a good time.

I would like to see a rod that you don't have to worry about knocking off the guides, or the tip. While we're at it lets just make one that is unbreakable.

I use the same trailers that I fish on the bottom.

Cool. Maybe we have a future fishing lure mogel among us.

Last summer when it was so hot here my Dad was going out in the mornings. He said that he and his fishing buddy had the lake all to themselves several times. I was cruising around on Google maps and found this so I snipped it and saved it. My Dad said that they must have just shoved off because they are close to the boats and you can see their cars.

Last year I caught most of mine on a 1/2 oz. Cordell Super Spot and a 3/8 oz. Mann's 1 minus.

Don't give up. It sounds like you are not working it the way the fish want to see it. Keep working on it and change your presentation. When I started fishing jigs it took me eight months to catch my first bass.

It will be an insurance and legal nightmare the first time a driverless vehicle is in an accident.

If I am going out night fishing from bank, I walk it in the daylight so I can find any trip hazards.

I have never had a bird actually go after a lure. However, I have seen a hawk dive on one, and pull up at the last minute after it got a good look at the bait.
