  1. I have the Bass Pro Shop Extreme Qualifier 370 tackle bag also. It is great to fish out of a boat with, but I like to carry a smaller hard tackle box when fishing from the bank.
  2. Largest LM is 6-2. I need to get out and fish more.
  3. All of my baitcasters have backing on them. I put a piece of tape around the backing line. After that I tie on just like I would tie to the spool.
  4. Senko, Jign n pig, and spinnerbait. I have always had very good luck working these along the bottom.
  5. Yep, I discovered a few years back that you can find anything on the internet as long as you know what questions to ask.
  6. I have an old Daiwa Procaster rod that is around 30 yo. It is my punching and weed fishing rod. It is sensitive, but very sturdy.
  7. UL rig gets 6 # mono. Spinning reel gets 10 # mono, and all the baitcasters get 15# mono. If I am swapping spools on the spinning reel I might put on 8 # mono.
  8. A jig with some sort of trailer on it.
  9. I like the 6" size. When they start getting beat up I cut the bait in half and use it as a 3" bait.
  10. I would contact an attorney. If nothing else than to get the stealing issue out of the way. That could follow you around for some time.
  11. Send it in. The reel may have some damage, or something foreign inside it. If there is a problem, using the reel may make it worse.
  12. I bought mine on sale back in '08. It is one of the smoothest reels I have ever used.
  13. Clean reels. Take inventory of all plastics by going through each bag and getting rid of the baits that I have used before that have become torn or damaged. Clean out tackle bags and boxes. Sharpen hooks on hard baits. Check skirts on jigs, and spinnerbaits. Put new batteries in scale and headlamp. Put new line on reels. Put together shopping list so I can remember what I need.
  14. Excellent baits.
  15. T-rig them and use around timber. I don't know about using them to punch with. Those arms may pick up the grass.
  16. Good catch, and good job at getting out.
  17. I have heard that they like to be up high up in trees when they rest. could have been that the vehicles were the highest things around at that time.
  18. Looks like the closest one to me is in Nashville.
  19. That must have been some time they had on board the boat.
  20. Sometimes the home made baits work just as well. I would give them a try.
  21. Love the springtime. Weather is warmer. I like jigs, cranks, and spinnerbaits.
  22. I go by word of mouth, and customer reviews. The biggest turn off for me is when you hear a pro start talking about how to scope out and fish an area, and then they start dropping brand names about what tackle to purchase.
  23. This site is the best! I have stopped going to other bass forums altogether.
