  1. I usually have four rigs with me. Jig, T-rig, C-rig, and spinnerbait. I will swap out the spinnerbait for a crank, but the rest stay the same.
  2. Used to drink about a 2 litre of soda a day. About 5 years ago I switched over to Lipton green tea. Now I can't even hardly look at a soda.
  3. Never used one. I had someone hold on to the spool or run the line through books.
  4. Usually don't use less than #10 on my spinning reel. The ultra light gets #6.
  5. I fish them t-rigged. They do not always draw a bite, but when they do they bite like crazy.
  6. Great job in the cold, Congrats!!
  7. Congrats on the first fish of the year!
  8. Tie them together and make a tent frame.
  9. Rooster tails have worked for me. There are Beetle Spins, but I never have any luck on those.
  10. Happy B-day Glenn, and thanks for this awesome site!
  11. I can't get myself to go less than #6 with an ultra lite. I do throw 1/8 jigs with #15.
  12. After fishing cranks for 10+ years, I couldn't slow down either. What helped me was dead sticking. I would move the handle a little bit and then let go of it and count to 15. After doing that for a while bringing in a plastic with short hops seemed like nothing to me.
  13. Do some exercises to keep your arm and shoulder limber.
  14. Temp 34, you guys are having a heat wave down there.
  15. Get out on the water more. I didn't do so good in 2012.
  16. Were you hit with a power surge? Your appliances might have gotten fried.
  17. I only have one in that price range and it's a St. Croix Avid.
  18. I have had pretty good luck with the BPS spinnerbaits over the years.
  19. 1. Map of the lake. 2. Pliers 3. Some type of line cutter. 4. Hook Sharpener. 5. Scale, or measuring tape if you are in a tourny. 6. Sunscreen 7. Headlamp. 8. Bug spray 9. Sharp pocket knife 10. Fishing license. I keep food and drink in a cooler. If I am walking the bank the cooler stays in the car.
  20. The only one I have ever used is a Zoom Horny Toad. I fish them t-rigged with a 1/4 ounce weight and drag them across the bottom. The color I use most is green pumpkin.
  21. Way to start off!
  22. Yo-Zuri with a palomar knot. I've never had any issues.
  23. A couple of dead bugs in the bottom of the bag and some bubble gum colored flukes.
  24. WTG! My last time out in 2012 was a couple of weeks ago right before it turned really chilly.
