  1. Congrats. Your dog will love the new baby. All kinds of new smells in the house.
  2. In dirty water I like black, black/blue, or black/red. I also like to put on a big black trailer of some sort that will give the bait some bulk.
  3. I would try using a heavier jig. Maybe one that is at least 3/8 ounce.
  4. I have had them hit plastic worms, rat-l-traps, and 1- minus cranks.
  5. Spinnerbait. Those treble hooks on a trap will just snag.
  6. Never use them. If I buy a jig with rattles I usually remove them.
  7. My favorite is a jig. My most productive would probably be a rat-l-trap or a 1- minus in shallow water.
  8. Does your GF like to fish???
  9. Wow that was cool! They talk about a mouth on a shark!
  10. Holy Cow! That is a nice bass.
  11. At least you caught something and didn't get skunked.
  12. Abu 5600 C4 on a 6-1/2 med. heavy rod w/ a fast tip. I have 15 lb big game loaded on the reel.
  13. Never heard about this one. I'm suprised it hasn't been on TV.
  14. And with the construction down at the ball park going ahead it will probably cost more.
  15. I will either use a 2/0 or a 3/0 size EWG hook.
  16. I like to drop a jig or a t-rigged tube straight down right along side a standing tree. It kind of looks like something fell off of the tree and is sinking in the water.
  17. If the water is 5 to 10 feet or so I like to throw it out weightless and just let it sink down to the bottom. Sometimes I will twitch it all the way back in, and sometimes I will just dead stick it for a while and move it slightly. You have to let the fish tell you what they want.
  18. We picked up some night crawlers and headed over to a sub division lake. The last time we went we stayed about two hours and she started to get tired. This time we stayed four hours and she caught a bunch of sunfish, bluegill, and warmouth. She really enjoyed herself, and has told everyone how she caught more than me.
  19. Take a paddle in the boat with you to use when you are in the middle of a weed bed. Number one it won't scare the fish like a motor will, and number two, you don't want that stuff wrapped around your prop.
