  1. Friend of mine had them about 20 years ago. When the pain hit him he passed out for about 3 hours, and finally decided to go to the Dr. My boss had them about 6 months ago. He was out for a week and a half.
  2. You can always get on the internet and look up things to do in your home town.
  3. After being married for 5 years we bought our first house in 1993. We drove over to the house first thing after we closed on it. Discovered the keys to the house didn't work. It seems they gave us the keys to the wrong house. We called the agent and luckily they delivered the correct keys in a couple of hours.
  4. X2. From the weather reports it looks like it could get real nasty up there.
  5. You've been catching some nice ones! Good job!
  6. No, but I do remember the first one I hooked myself with. It was a Wiggle Wart.
  7. I have a wife, two daughters, house, and a pretty good job. When I take my kids to the park I still like to climb on the jungle gym, and go down the slides.
  8. I was looking through some of my Dad's tackle boxes the other day and I saw that he had a Heddon punkin spin, and Big Bud. My oldest lure is a Cordell Big-O that is larger than what they sell now. I would guess about 1/2 ounce. I was wondering what antique lures everyone else had and if they ever get used?
  9. Try some of the mom and pop sporting goods stores. Sometimes they have to get rid of their fishing inventory to make room for the hunting season items.
  10. That is why all of my trigger rods are 6-1/2 long. It is hard to get a 7 footer in the car without bending it around. I don't want to mess up the guides either.
  11. When I am finished fishing all of my gear comes in the house. The last thing that I want is to get into an accident and have my tackle scattered all over the street.
  12. I've never seen so many bad drivers until I went to St. Charles, Mo.
  13. I wonder what would happen if the reel got spooled??
  14. I have used a Revo S for finesse jigs and heavier t-rigs. Never had any problems with it.
  15. I know what you are saying about those 14' jon boats. Those things will catch a slight breeze and take off.
  16. I usually take four rods with me and each rigged for a certain bait. I will hang the lure over the side if I am using it. If I have a bait that is not working I will either remove it and put the bait back in the box, or wrap it if I think that I will use it later.
  17. Baitcasters for heavy baits, and spinning reels for lighter baits.
  18. I got my revo back in '08 and its still going strong.
  19. My biggest gripe with flouro is when you get an overrun and it kinks up. The overrun comes out easier, but the line is weakened from the tangle.
  20. Whatever you buy for fishing in slop and weeds I would get a heavy action rod. If you get a good size bass in the weeds you are going to need some muscle to get it out.
  21. I'll go with Big Game for mono and Yo-Zuri for a coploymer. I have used a lot of different cheap lines, and what I have found is that they weaken a lot faster than the better lines do. You have to respool more ofter so you don't really save any money because you are always buying line.
  22. Personally, I am ready to use a depth charge. Nothing seems to be working very well around here.
  23. You have to be careful with the smaller sized hooks like Big-O said. Depending on where the fish is hooked you may not get a very good hookset.
  24. Those look like they would be pretty easy to make if you had all of the right materials.
