  1. I use a 6'-0" rod with 6 lb mono. I like the heavier line just in case I catch a good size fish.
  2. I own two spinning reels. One I use for small finesse plastics, and the other I use for ultra light baits.
  3. It's usually nice all week until Friday when a cold front moves in.
  4. I like the Hybrid in 15 pounds. That stuff is really strong. I don't care too much for the ultra soft though.
  5. Jig on a heavy action rod. You don't want to go light around timber.
  6. For you guys that catch double digit largemouth on a regular basis I am trying to figure out how much a 29" bass in healthy conditions might weigh. A person I know went out last weekend with no camera, scale, or measuring tape. He laid the bass down next to his rod and marked it off. When he got home it was 29" between the marks.
  7. I would try one or two rigs with braid first and see how you like it. I have tried it over the past two years on a couple of my spinning and baitcasters and didn't care for it.
  8. I seem to get a lot of little bass just hitting at the frog. Also I tend to have a lot of real frogs going after the bait.

  10. I use Malwarebytes and AVG Free.
  11. Spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and jigs mostly. Plastics seem to be a hit or miss right now.
  12. I've never had a lot of luck with buzz baits. I do like throwing a large black jitterbug first thing in the morning.
  13. Just saw this thread. I like spring and summer, as long as its warm. I like fishing in grass and/or timber with jigs and plastics down about 10 to 15 feet deep.
  14. Just traded in the my wife's '97 Mercury Cougar for a new Ford Fusion. Someday I hope to drive it.
  15. I have a Mitchell from the 70's and its built like a tank, but I don't use it anymore. The last new one I owned lasted only four years and the worm gear went out in it. Several people I know have Presidents and they love them.

  17. Just got back from exchanging a BPS Pro Qualifier spinning reel for a Pflueger President. IMO a much better spinning reel. Seems be be a lot smoother, and it sort of reminds me of the old Mitchell 300 reels from way back in the 1970's.
  18. X2 ...although mine only lasted for about a year, they are cheap, so buy a couple.. X3 on the kids scissors. Power pro dulled my knife blade and fingernail clippers wouldn't cut all the way through.
  19. No. I'd rather be out fishing.
  20. Yep, this sight taught me how to fish for bass.
  21. Congrats!!
  22. The lightest I have thrown with my Revo S is a 1/16 jig. I usually don't go lighter than 1/8 ounce.
  23. I've done so many I just can't decide on one .
