Anyone have a Terrova 80 i-Pilot w/universal transducer they'd like to brag about... or publicly chastise. I'm particularly interested in how "universal" the transducer is and how well the "spot lock" function of the i-Pilot works in the real world. oe

If this is a 1st or only stream rod I'd recommend a hair heavier tackle. 6 1/2' med. power with a fast action (leaning toward a softer tip)spinning rod -- 2000 size reel filled with a 10lb. test fused PE line. Learn to tie a good line to line knot and fish with a fluoro leader. This combo will fish your stated plastics and also a selection of smaller spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, top water baits and cranks. There can be good sized carp, catfish, and suckers in them there small streams... oe

Rod & reel specifications are more about the technique & bait you will be offering and less about the species you're fishing for. oe

Loctite 5 min epoxy did the job in spades. oe

Tropical fish are transported around the world, I would think smallmouth fry could be as well. Logistics and legal hurdles might become too much of a difficulty to overcome. oe

Hook exposed light jig head. I needed to thin down the tail section to increase it's action with a 3/16oz. jig head. oe

Spinnerbaits store most compactly when flat... put 4 or 5 in a small heavy duty freezer bag and carry the bag in one of the side pockets of your soft tackle bag. oe

I had similar symptoms a number of years back... went to the doctor for treatment. He fixed the problem. oe
