  1. Do you mean opportunistic? oe
  2. I've been fishing 8lb, 10lb and 12lb NanoFil on my spinning tackle since it was released (2+ years?). Still using it, still liking it. Most sensitive line I've ever used... including fused fireline. oe
  3. On an average sized fish I want my drag to slip very slightly with the hook-set. Very little to no slippage while playing the fish... large fish on light line spinning gear I back reel. oe
  4. I don't think you've over-filled the spool, but it doesn't need to be that full either. If you are having trouble controlling the cast (bird nests) even after brake adjustments, pull some of the line off and try it less full. An under-filled spool is easier to control. oe
  5. What days will ICAST be held... or more importantly, when will I start to see reports about the new products. oe
  6. Tom... I'm picturing the action to be a subtle "wacky action" with a smooth forward glide and standing posture on the bottom. I've been fishing very lightly weighted jig-worms (both exposed point and buried point) for many years. Is the difference in action between a nose weighted worm with a nail weight and a similarly weighted jig-worm significant? oe
  7. Around what cover are they finding this rigging option effective? oe
  8. Are they weighting them for a horizontal fall? oe
  9. Although I think both NanoFil and fused Fireline are very good lines for spinning gear, I'd recommend SpiderWire Ultra-Cast or Fireline braid to use with bait casting gear. oe
  10. 8lb Trilene 100% Fluoro tied to a mainline of 10lb Nanofil. oe
  11. Check out some walleye boards... they've got a better sense of what makes a sensitive vertical jigging rod than bass guys. oe
  12. I would choose the lightest head you are able to feel... consider your equipment and the depth you will be fishing. I use 3/16oz & 1/4oz black. oe
  13. Shad Assassin oe
  14. Jigworm or drop shot oe
  15. Yep, pretty much. My Alumacraft has no graphics on it at all, including "Alumacraft". Although I own and occasionally wear a hat or t-shirt with advertising on them, I won't pay for them... they're free. I even make the dealership take their sticker off any car I buy. oe
  16. Through hull tranducer may be an option if you can live with a permanent mount. oe
  17. http://www.paulusjustfishing.com/4linetesting.htm oe
  18. Then what's all the fuss about... just drive a little closer to where you want to cast! oe
  19. Shouldn't this be posted in the "Fishing Tackle" board? oe
  20. Wide brim Tilley oe
  21. I can't imagine that a 2' leader is less effective catching bass than a 6' leader, but a 6' leader gives you more opportunity to retie baits without retying the leader. oe
  22. Seriously... I think most of us fish TOO fast. oe
