  1. I've read that "southern" bucktails are softer than northern bucktail and was interested in trying a little to compare... well I'll continue to be quite selective in choosing my tails. oe
  2. I've seen sites promote "Northern" bucktail, but I'd like to find some "Southern" bucktails. Any help? oe
  3. ... I couldn't find the head slapping emoticon!
  4. I'm a Supreme fan but feel the XT doesn't warrant the additional $50. oe
  5. I agree with John that hybrid ceramic bearings don't provide exponentially longer casts. However I do like the feel of ceramic bearings and have changed the spool bearings in most of my bait casting reels. Frame and handle bearings don't get changed, in fact, I usually lube them with a 90wt oil. oe
  6. black rabbit hide streamer... oe
  7. In most cases, not as well as other possible baits... oe
  8. I hope you brought home the 110 skinny shallow... oe
  9. Whatever feels right to you, but the shad rap seems to be an outlier that might perform better for you with spinning gear... oe
  10. The bronze wire heads (non pro versions) are considerably lighter than the promoted weight. I carry 1/8, 3/16 & 1/4 oz Spider heads in the classic 3/0 bronze hook. oe
  11. In the springtime before herbaceous cover makes it too difficult to fish cleanly, an inline spinner such as a Mepps will catch a lot of bass. oe
  12. There are certainly times when depth and speed accuracy are of critical importance. For those times I carry an electronic metronome in my boat... oe
  13. hmmm... I wish it was mandatory to show age and fishing experience in personal data before being able to post. oe
  14. There has never been an order from Tacklewarehouse, or anyone else, that has been questioned for having my shipping address being my business which is different than my billing address which is my home. I believe shipping is cheaper to a business address than a residential address. oe
  15. I think, if you keep thinking for yourself, you might catch a bunch of bass in your lifetime... oe
  16. Can I have "syncopation" for $100 Alex...
  17. three brakes per spool might be better... maybe a board member would send you a set for the cost of a postage stamp. oe
  18. I've fished the 4" Caffeine Shad with a limber casting rod, but the hook sets were not as firm as when using a stiffer spinning rod. Expanding your tool box to include a spinning combo will benefit your fishing. oe
  19. Relax man... the rod manufacturer is probably on vacation for the entire week between Christmas and New Years as many businesses are. If the rod wasn't purchased directly from the rod company, I'd gather the receipt and present the rod to the business from where it was purchased as they should be your 1st recourse. oe
