  1. The bottom is rayburn red. That seems to be the most sought after color, and can be pricey on ebay if it where in the box.
  2. I did well today caught 3 within a half hour in the canal behind my house. I broke my brand new veracity setting the hook on a 4.5 pounder (First fish). Went inside grabbed my Loomis and caught two more. The key for me was to throw a light jig with a big trailer into the deeper part of the canal and not the banks.
  3. Yeah, it sounds like he's being lazy with shipping. However, look at what Ebay says the handling time is. If it says 3 days then don't give him bad feedback for that. Technically when you bought it you agreed to whatever conditions he has set. That 10 days is handling time, shipping time, and weekends or whatever days that they don't deliver on. If anything don't leave feedback at all. If he had it listed for free shipping, Ebay probably won't let you leave bad feedback for that reason.
  4. I had the same issue. If the side plate was rotated all the way around it would appear to be in the correct spot but you have to rerotate it back to the original position for it to go back together.
  5. I bought two brand new Curado I reels a few months ago. I've used one with no issues, but I just started using the second one and on a light cast where the spool doesn't gain speed quickly it whines very loud. Still casts fine just makes a whining noise that sounds like something is going to wear out really fast.
  6. If I remember correctly it's over $100,000. $130,000 maybe?
  7. Just one two rods is a hassle amd i have a method of making one rig able to be used as a Texas, florida, and Carolina rig without having to retie. Just swap around my plastic.

I use 2/0 gamakatsu finesse wide gap hooks. I like that size but I know a lot of guys go really small.
  9. Spinning reels upside down also bother me for whatever OCD reason. Another thing is when teens decide to fish behind my house while being as loud and obnoxious as possible, while leaving trash and mishandling fish. One kid thought it would be funny to let the fish flop in the street in traffic. Just gives the sport a bad rep and ruins it for the people who do the right thing
  10. I have one on my jon boat and I love it. Soon, I'll be buying a clamp mount for my coleman perch so I can swap it back and forth from boat to boat.
  11. Boat houses and docks will hold bass especially when the sun is out. I like a wacky rigged senko either skipped under or fished around them. If you're on a boat grab a squarebill or lipless crank, and make long casts perpendicular, parallel and at a 45° angle ti the bank. If there's grass do the same with a paddle tail swimbait like a gambler EZ swimmer. The key is to cover water once you get a bite or two in a spot make note of it and come back later to fish it more thorough. I'm assuming Louisiana isn't too cold and the bass aren't extremely lethargic.
  12. My 15 horsepower 4 stroke mercury is more expensive than a brand new motor for my jeep. That has just hit me...
  13. The very first run of Veritas rods broke easily, and yes mine broke also. I have since owned four more that have all been put through abuse over the last 4 years with no issues. It was just a quality control issue when the rods first hit the market. Same with the verdict although I'm not sure if they where corrected or not.
  14. I personally believe it's a black/blue with blue tip senko.
  15. This picture has been sweeping the social media world and I thought it would be an interesting post here. Some people see this as white and gold, and some see it as blue and black. Just write what colors you see and wait for the other responses before you call me crazy.
  16. If it helps any, all of my friends with the old Johnsons love them, and can't seem to kill them. Even if they try.
  17. Your basically buying the motor and getting the hull with it. That's just how used boats are. Both boats and motors are fairly old so I would suggest having a competent boat mechanic check it out or take it for a test drive. Unless these boats are being sold very cheap, it's worth it to take your time and look them over good. Marine mechanics aren't cheap.
  18. If anything a shimano usually holds its value due to the shimano fan base
  19. If what you're talking about is the AR pawl, I believe you can remove those without any negative effects since its just a backup to the AR bearing.
  20. Always wondered why the good stuff like this is for 21 and older.
  21. I don't like summer much here in south Florida. Shallow natural waters can be tricky with 88°+ surface temps. The upside is I can cook scrambled eggs on my aluminum boat at 9 A.M. no electricity required.
  22. Let me know when you come down I should have room on my boat for you.
  23. Yeah deffinetly a different heat, but both for sure are too hot for comfort. Florida really isn't that hot humidity is ridiculous.
  24. Usps gives good deals if you print your label online.
  25. Only the florida guys will understand sweating 10 minutes after sunrise in the summer.
