Tomorrow is my birthday, and my wife got me a copy of Noah Webster's 1828 edition of the American Dictionary of the English Language. I've been wanting one for a while, but wouldn't splurge on it, so she was going to surprise me with it tomorrow. But, I saw the package when it arrived, and it said "Webster" on it, so I ripped right in and she caught me kicked back in my recliner reading it today. She didn't get too mad. ;D It's probably the greatest material gift I've ever received.

There no worse than any other student section. It's more their proximity to the court and their smarter than your average student section. They also actually have planned taunts and script sheets layed out before games and study opposing teams to be as effective as possible. That is why they seem so much worse, they work at it. Yeah, that type of stuff used to embarrass me at my school. They glorify it. Come on Dan, you know the Electric Zoo can get crazy, and get into the heads of opposing teams.

You know a team is good when they attract so many haters. ;D Regardless of who you wanted to see win this game, it was a great one. In fact, this is one of the best tournaments that I remember. As for the championship game itself, it was tight the whole night, several lead changes, and a last second shot to potentially win the game. I'm glad Duke won, but I have a lot of respect for Butler. I hope their coach stays put and they have more success in the future. But, I sure am glad tonight was Duke's night!

Grab the tissues, it's time for "One Shining Moment." ;D

Thank you guys (and gals) for all you do to keep this such a great place to hang out. It's always the first, and often the only, place I go to when I get online.

How can you call yourself a DUKE fan and say that????? As a DUKE fan I hope they never win another game ever. And they will have a banner to hang it will say 2010 NIT runner-up. Yep they do have a great history. It's even better now that they had their worst season ever in the same year DUKE took the ACC title lead and Coach K tied Smith for most final four appearances. Beast, thanks for setting me straight. I didn't know there was a runner up banner! ;D That's great! ;D I have now repented from wanting UNC under any circumstance.

Did you check e-bay, Amazon, or other online sites for used textbooks?

As a Duke fan, I hate to admit this, but I'm pulling for UNC for the first time in my life. I want the Tarheels to have a reminder hanging in the rafters of the Dean Dome about this horrible year. ;D And, it will be great to have the NCAA and the NIT champtions both from the ACC this year!

Since you know this boy from Church, perhaps this is a good oppertunity to teach him the principle of Proverbs 14:29.

There are millions of people who live in huts with no electricity, running water, bathroom, etc. but you're hanging out online on a fishing forum... sure, it's a sliding scale, but don't be so quick to judge. What's hanging out here got to do with it ? Just saying, we all have luxuries that not everyone has. Just because someone decided to build a big expensive hotel, which i'm sure will have plenty of customers, what does that have to do with starving people in the world? To some people, 800-35,000 a night for a hotel room is not that expensive... On the flip side, there's people in the world that would kill for the 35 dollars a month you pay for internet. (or whatever it is) Just because people are starving somewhere in the world, doesn't make it wrong for someone that's not starving to spend the money they have any way they choose.... just like we choose to spend our money on "wasteful" things such as internet, shopping, eating out, fishing supplies, etc. Hey, now you've just gone to meddling. Let's leave fishing out of this ;D
