I've fished it on my jig rod but I like it a bit more on a shorter rod and the 7 MH veritas it's is more of a mh/f in my opinion I think you will like it on that 7-3 but keep us posted

Ok guys just a couple days left who's in gonna be a good weekend for fishing

if your with a guy that you know is more experienced its always good to let him know this or ask questions. its not about going out to fish in a boat its about catching fish out of a boat and it makes the trip way more fun! you don't even have to throw the same thing as what the boater or other guys throwing thats catching fish there are tons of other imitations of what that guy is mimicking too try something in that category or just ask if they are eating that what else would they eat or what ever! and some times what they are throwing is the best thing but sometimes it isnt and ive learned alot as a non boat in that regards to! all im saying is it sucks to watch the guy in the back of the boat not catch anything and i try and do what i can and off what ever i got to help get fish on both sides of the boat! thats how blue helped me and i like to return the favor and anytime i can learn from they guy in the back i do! you can never know it all and some times we forget the simple things work too! an dont play with ice cream infront of me ive killed for less!

agreed maybe melvern for smallies but that would be it! sucks you guys are so far from ozarks and all those lakes!

Well Coty and I were out at melvern yesterday to find some smallies due to the fact Coty hasnt ever been to fish for smallies. I would say we were successful with a few bonus walleye for each of us. We started at the dam and took us a while to get the first couple in the boat but by the time we got to the piling it turned on. ned rig was the best bait but we tried to only throw that when it slowed down on the other baits. but got my walleye on a big head wobbler and got a smallie next cast. Coty made a color change to a strike king sexy chart shad color 1.0 and it was like a light switch turned on. we went to the marina and nothing so we went to Eisenhower cove and it picked up like we left off at the dam! I tied on a rattle trap r50 ghost color and that proved to best bait of the day catching several in a row when they stopped eating other consistent baits! but we loaded up and ran into kstates fishing team. i guess they have a regional qualified out there today. but we caught around 100 fish. it was one of the better days out on Melvern i had this year. i didn't catch a big smallie like Coty. but that's why the call him Coty the kicker catcher!

I plan on attending both and the dinner I tried to put the Pitt get together far enough out that it wouldn't conflict with guys who want to do both but as long as they aren't on the same weekend I'm good with any date wink wink
