  5. well i borrowed a buddy's boat(bluebasser86) we went to melvern ks to catch some good smallies. my girlfriend hasnt ever been fishing to fish just watched me a few times but i knew this lake produced easy dinks so it allowed me to try it out. started off bad she was whippin me in numbers but as the day carried on the wind picked up. only suppose to be 8mp but i knew that was to good to be true. but it was close it was only 30mph winds lol. i tied on a 1.0 kvd crank and started killing the spots and largemouths. about noon she was ready to go. so we stayed another hour trying to snag so schooling gar. i ran down one last bank throwing the crank. it was a small crank so had to cast hard like most of u know. well she sat down in the passenger seat and i didnt see her well it was right in my casting lane and i rared back and backspooled like a B***h. i looked back and saw my crank stuck in the side of her head. i instantly was like holly crap dont move. so i cut my line and just knew we had to go to the hospital. i convenced her to let me cut the hook and cut the crank loose so i can see how bad it was. to see if i can save a trip to the ER. lucky me 4 out of the 6 hooks were stuck. but 3 werent bad they came right out. but the last one was barly past the barb and i told her to stop be if it hurt to bad and she didnt and i got it out picking at it with a strighten worm hook. after it was all over she was laughing and jokeing around. so i did to complaining that i had to put new hooks on my bait and that i had to put all new line on my reel cus she got in the way but she didnt think that was funny at all. so for my bday (today) she got me some new hooks lol. im just glad it was where it iwas it could of been a very bad day if it was anywhere else in her head.
