  6. well guys went to loz this passed weekend and fished some new water! we were fishing for spoonbill for the first morning and that wasnt going to well due to the water not running out of the truman dam but did manage to catch accouple bass out of the cove we were in but nothing big. so the next day i told my self just bass fish and so thats what we did and i cought alot of bass on C&C big head wobbler in chart and white due to the dirty water and worked good for awhile but slowed down by mid day. we decided to catfish that evening and did really good got a 25lber and several 8 to 12 lb cats all on cut bait. and the next morning they were talking about rain and tornados so we wanted to make our time worth it so i ran about 10 miles through all the snaggers (sure they loved me) but got to a cove i was really familiar with cus our family has a dock there. as we entered the cove i saw a big ball of shad pushed up between two docks and told my buddy to throw his spinner bait up there (he wasnt catching much pretty new to the game) and wam!!! 3lber and i casted wam!!! 4.07lber and we caught about 3 more each and proceeded down the cove and it was by far the best fishing we had all weekend. and then the storm came in and lightning it the tree right in front of us. we put the lightning rods down and ran back. it cleared up about two hours later and we made the run again with 40 mph winds the fish shut off. but i did manage to sink a arrow into a 40 plus big head carp and pulled the arrow as i got it to the boat. catch and release program. but wasnt too bad the river is about 5 feet low right now with water temps in the lower to mid 60s and oh man did mu buddy get burnt he hasnt been to work all week and he texted me today saying im going to the ER lol wow fun times!

  10. looks like some one is sneaking on to bill dances private pond?
  11. we have a chance at a 4 or a 5 that would help if that happens blue
  12. yeah i would say twin up batteries 24 volt system and your problems will be solved or get away from walmart stuff. run. as fast as you can. i promise had the same issue as you are haveing and switched to interstate went to basspro batts and cabelas batts. no more issues but those are 3 to 5 year batteries and thats what i learned about walmart batteries.
  13. well sizzle it was a very tough day. we started at the dam and was catching whites and smallies pretty constantly on Ned rigs and jerkbaits / pointer size. and the wind decided to pick up from there. i cant remember what time you guys got there mid morning as the wind was already bad. but we went to to the marina and into the coves to get out of the wind nothing i think one came out of a cove and so we tried main lake walls and big chunck rocks but still nothing special. then we ran all the way to the other side of the lake and fished some cranks through the trees got one doing that and man was it muddy stained water back there. the ran back to state park ramp and milked that for all it was worth for couple hours. it just wasnt good so we ran back to the island thinking maybe they are on the flats of that eating bait fish but couldnt fish a jerkbait. all we could throw was a crank bait so we did and nothing. and went back to the boat ramp for one final pass and excepted defeat. hope next week the weather is a bit better or the wind anyways.
  14. Sorry didn't mean to repost like that stupid phone but yeah thanks for the in depth explanation. I think most guys don't realize how easy it is to f up your own batteries I've done it my self being lazy and costed me money!
  15. yeah and this is fyi for every one with batteries. if you store your boat over winter make sure you fully charge them before because if it gets cold and its not charged the electrolites fail out and dont come back and you can be buying a new battery. but in your case i would check charge and maybe wait a day or two and see if its still charged or if it held at a high charge or even got to a high charge if not i wouldnt spend money on another everstart thats for sure! my buddy works at a walmart and sait they get 80% back off each pallet.
  16. well from what i see man it was very informative and i think you hit the nail on the head. pretty good stuff and keep it up ill be looking for your stuff in quest too!
  17. Its super bad to let a battery get cold while its low but hope its fine that is expensive for sure
  18. red its positive and blacks negative duh!!!
  19. man really those smallies should be blasting baits right now you would think i thought about going out there this weekend but probably fish melvern instead but keep trying man they should be ready to bust any time now
  20. if it says 21 mph thats 25 on the lake maybe more but owell dont be a fair weather fisherman
  21. i want to prefish it this weekend but man that wind is suppose to be blazing all weekend cold front and rain before and after fml!
