well jacomo is a good lake for quanity but you would have to fish a jerk bait jig and really slow moving baits. but you can catch fish all year around as long as its not ice over but hope your trips fun and i wouldnt expect alot of numbers or go to a power plant lake that the waters heated would help too.most lakes around here are in the 40s in water temps.

i was at the classic and it wasnt that he didnt know what he was doing he just didnt have any confidence in his bait and after not catching or even getting a single bite in day one he was frustrated so he was calm cool and collected day two and he nailed it but like he said a day late and dollar short. the sad thing is though day 1 was by far the best day on the water and for him to lose his cool was a bit frustrating for all his fans.

well thanks everyone it was a fun little project. i was sitting here looking at ideas on crankbait colors and saw a reel a guy did and was like ok i know what im doing tomarrow lol. so i busted all the air bursh stuff out and went to the hobby store and got some paints. i first took the reel skins off and there was only three parts. and easy to get off too. but i started with 280 grit sand paper to get the clear coat off and then went to 400 to get to the black primer and then went over that with a 600 grit wet sand to polish it up. after that i wiped it off with alcohol to get all the dust off and once that dryed it was ready for the primer. the stuff i used was black createx and u heat cure it with a blowdrier and ur ready for the next color. i went with a bright white pearl just cus it has a bit of a glittery finish. for the clear coat i used 2 part epoxy 30 cure time and mixed in a purple glitter and then just took an old cheap throw away brush and painted it on and its self leveling so it drys smooth. after the 30 mins it was still a little tacky but was to excited to see what it looked like together i got it a little dirty and a put a couple finger prints on it but i think its real nice just wish i would of waited a full 24 hours to put it together but now that i got it done and its all hard and a nice finish. for some reason i had a ton of extra parts lol just kidding but ready to take it to the next level and put a black scale pattern on it for the next time and then it will be complete.

wondering whats the best material to go with or paint line to go with when painting a reel got it all tore down about to sand and just curious all the resurch ive done people are just rattle caning it with auto paint or rustolium stuff i wanted to airbrush it but just not 100 percent sure what paint to go with

well that is a ran out question not busting ur chops just been making my own shaky heads to save some money and then ran into the jig making process thats been really successful and started out with the basics on colors of heads and skirts then went on to mixing colors in skirts and really making some high quality stuff. i havent really sold alot of stuff just to friends and fishing buddys but i have went as far as getting a logo made and printing it on my tourny jersey. i started out just wanting to save some money but now that one it works and really good but now that the quality is there it is becomeing a realistic picture to start to sell them as my own. im been fooling around with airbrushing and i think im ready to start my next adventure in making my own crankbaits and its looking like $$$ to me not only saving but looking real good one making some serious cash in the future. but to answer the bulk question not really different site have different things you need and different colors too and its all in where you look. my saying is "if it works for you it will work for others".

idk if there is a thread for this or not didnt feel like going through miles of threads but is there a way to take the paint off and old crankbait? say it is all jacked up or u found some with alot of paint missing and is no good because of it is there a way to strip it to repaint it that is easy and worth the time? thanks guys i figured if anyone new it would be this group of guys! thanks again

i save twenty dollars a week every check that i put into a fishing account and at the end of the year it pays for a nice week long fishing trip. but good tips for sure.

hey man got some good tips for you. i went to rayjus. i looked at the bass resource one and it was cool but i decided to make my own jersey they way i wanted. i got to pick the background i got to pick every decal and where it goes. i even put the bass resource one on mine to represent. i had alot of questions my self so i went to their web and called them. they are nice people and fast and it runs about 85 for long sleeve and all the prices are on there but man i would use them again and again. hope this helps. plus got mine over a year ago and looks brand new and worn it several times.

well man wipers love swimbaits spoons and most bass bait i generaly catch them at pleasanton east on a rattle trap but blue basser would be the best to talk to about both wipers and milford but they like jigs texas craw and black and blue or green pumpkin sure they will be eating a crankbait and a spinner bait. i hope the wind treats u alright and let us know how it goes but yeah hit up blue he can give u spots and all sorts of info about that lake and others might be able to help to

well me and triton went to fortscott today instead of melvern for a differnt view. we didnt do good on the dam only 3 i think and we fish all down the east side picking up a couple dinks along the way until they started to eat a jig pretty well. did decent for a little bit. we fished til 2pm and decided to go to little p or pleasanton west and to our luck it was in turn over lol. maybe 2 inchs of clearity and we worked real hard and triton finally got a nice one about 3lbs and faught like a 5lber and we worked some more but no luck i think i had 2 bites and no fish and he had like 3 bits and only the one. not to fun when u fight those conditions but we got out and got to fish so thats all that counts!

well if i do something like that i would like to do team but need a team lol u interested or do u already do this and have some one else cus it would be a blast to fish it with u. plus wouldnt mind learning a new lake and maybe some new fishing abilities.
