looking for a good tourament trail in ks or mo besides aba fished aba for a couple years and looking for something new so if you have any ideas pleas let me know!

heckyeah and if the winds down ill take my jonboat so alot of people dont have to pull boats

well i live in ks and know that this fish is a nice quality fish for ks and catch alot in this size range well inches anyways. but if i had to have a good guess if its 9 inch bottle and it looks like its twice as long so im guessing 18 inches and its not skinny or real fat im gona say 3.8 to 4.4 lbs

im not sure who caught the biggest drum i do know that bluebasser86 was my partner and he had a bigger on like 17 inchs or so and i had the biggest white i think at 15 inchs

had a blast today with all you guys. fun jokes and stories and great after bbq. me and blue lost by 1.5 inches lol very close tourny really. curt had a nice one right off the bat and to follow it up so did peter giving them a commanding lead. so it was catch up all day for everyone. it was alot better fishing then expected what made it alot of fun. great weather we had maybe not for fishing but for being outdoors it was good. cant wait for the next one hope every one else had a blast and friendships expand.

well thanks for the info but the only thing that was a bit confusing was finding a boater what do u mean it isnt a draw?

is there any co-anglers in the flw even better is they are near ks or mo area. how is it fishing in the flw been in aba for a couple years and cant compete against the boaters but if i fished against other co- anglers i think i can do alot better in points but any info will help

as u turn off the main road there is like a pay booth stand but u pay to the right of it u wont miss it promise but it is before the boat ramp

well still caught some good fish but it is slow for blue at melvern but it changed from last week lets home it changes from this week for the better its getting close im starting to twitch a little

hey just letting you know i wouldnt plan on using braid with those just because the smallies are a sensitive fish when it come to line sometimes so if u dont want to lose them i wouldnt use them even know they look really good but most small mouth fisherman dont use larger line then 10 i use 12 for my cranks but thats just my openion but looks like it could be a solid bait for smallies no joke. ive seen some like it with the spinners on the front but never used them but getting really excited for 2 weeks

my buddy had good luck on blue and brown chobee color basspro series sticko but gluing it is a key if u dont u will be fixing ur rig almost every cast. getting super hyped for fall fishing at melvern nothing like it for small mouth anywhere in ks or mo. plus the bonus fish make it interesting. and bluebasser gave a ton of info away but u can catch fish every where on the lake like that so dont be descuraged if u dont know the lake just fish every spot like the last and see what u get run and gun baby!

well decided to go to melvern instead of perry today and it was kinda a slow day everything that every one else has been useing didnt work that good but did get a couple schooling walleye. got the big bass slam also nothing spectacular ill post a pic of my best smallie but had two decent large mouths about 14 and 16 inches and a spot about the same 16 and a football should of took a pic off all of the different species of fish but the wind was blowing 20mph+ and fyi only calling for 12 I disagree but it was only 3mph like the said this morning and picked up and calmed back down to 6 to 10 mph so wasnt terrible only for a few hours but knee was killing me so got off the lake around 230pm. water temp was right at 69 allday. didnt change much just a half degree assuming cus of the wind. but all in all pretty fun day

holly cow wow never seen that like that seen it with one on it but jesus but going to perry in the morning and will be giving a report in the next 24 hours.

oh and this is my clacker after the second musky and never worked again guess ill put it on the retirement shelf wall of famous baits!

it was great cus we were only bass fishing, well most of the time, till we started to see the quality musky but you couldnt ask for more of a better last day then what we had til about 9 am 5 to 10 mph winds clouds clouds and more clouds. bluebasser didnt mention that we left at 10 and were fishing by s 230 am. i think we had 14 hours of sleep in 3 days. it was pretty insaine. i was planing to go out and PB on a nice fatty large mouth but double PBed musky in an hour. very fun trip bluebasser cant wait for the next one! still cant believe u went swimming for that 4lb 14 ozer but was fun.
