  1. We'll know soon I'm sure. Any day now I expect: REVO PREMIERS CHEAP started by FiveBassLimit. ;D
  2. Simple fix. Don't run the 200hp motor wide open.
  3. If you have a standard skimmer type transducer that comes with many of todays depthfinders both Cabelas and BPS sell a mount that allows you to mount that type of X-ducer to the TM head.
  4. Where has this thing been stored? It sounds like a whole lotta work for an old boat that is quite possibly all rotted out with a bunch of broken stuff on it. Things that will have to be looked at Gas tank, if its metal it's probably rusted. Batteries. Steering system is probably shot. Electrical, the same. Trailer bearings. If the floor has a bunch of soft spots I'm betting your transom is probably rotted too along with a bunch of saturated, moldy foam flotation in the hull. Trailer electrical wiring is probably shot. Tires are probably rotted. Condition of bunks and trailer frame.
  5. LOL. All my best spots are under a couple feet of mud on the North end of the lake these days, so I'm no ringer there anymore.
  6. Sorry Glenn, but I can promise you that if the fishing stinks we'll be blaming both you and the website. Anything other than our own abilities. ;D BTW, as last year, Val usually includes a disclaimer somewhere in this thread before the tourney.
  7. I saw the first issue on a buy it now for around $1000. I don't think anyone ever bought it.
  8. Actually, I'd describe the color of the original Scorpions as Barney Purple.

I guess the same reason many guys won't allow their rig to go up the old dirt road to their favorite honey hole.
  10. Awesome designer. He'll be missed come barrett-jackson time.
  11. I'm with Sam. Why would I drag the boat all the way to the lake and then wait to see if it'll turn over?
  12. Tipp, Don't fret over Formula Bernie no longer coming to this country. Tony George and IMS was losing money on that deal anyway. Bernie is now into extorting as much money as possible from anyone he can anywhere. Want an F1 race? Build a gozillion dollar track, pay Bernie another gozillion dollars and he'll be happy to drop real race tracks like Spa or the ring just to cash your check. It's a much better series since Herr Schumacher isn't driving away from the field each week but it's completely losing all sense of reality and shutting off it's old fanbase by turning to races in countries willing to pay his ransom.
  13. Geez, onto page 2 and only one picture so far?
  14. That's a sad state if true Sam. The wife and I had to disconnect our infant son from life support 21 years ago as he was losing his battle with a degenerative, hereditary birth defect. Lots of lawyers were involved but no one on the hospital side stopped us.
  15. I have a pair of Garmin 160's on my boat. One at the front with the transducer on the TM and the other on the console with a skimmer on the transom. At least once or twice a day the two units will synch up and eventually lock up when I run them at the same time. I have to shut them both down and restart them. I've never had that problem when running units from different brands though.
  16. You're missing the Truck accessory catalog, Saltwater, Spring fashions, Camping and spring hunting.
  17. Actually, I think this tournament is going to be a couple weeks later than last years. Hopefully the only 3 keeper size bass in Dixie will be more spread out.
  18. They're forecasting temps around 50ish this weekend. I'm going one way or tother!!
  19. I had all the issues from 1974 until around 2002. I wound up selling them on Ebay.
  20. At 50% rated hp, the performance of that boat will be pretty bad. Depending on load, your holeshot will probably be awful to barely OK. If you work on the setup to maximize the holeshot, you're top end speed will drop pretty bad. The top end speed isn't so much the issue, you're not going to get much out of any boat under-rated like that, what will be at issue is how the boat will run through the water. You're unlikely to get sufficient lift to get the hull much out of the water and thus, you'll basically be plowing water. Not a good ride if the water gets rough and you will get wet. Oh, and your re-sale value will be weak.
  21. To be fair. All automobile racing has a level of danger involved. What set OW Indycar racing apart from Nascar was the amount of safety that OW has built into their cars over the years along with having the best safety medical team in the business. Nascar would love for you to believe that they invented the SAFER barrier and the hans device but that's not true. Both of those life saving devices were designed, tested and used in OW racing. To be honest, NASCAR has resisted safety innovations for years. One of their most ridiculous traditions, racing back to the yellow, was about as dangerous as you can get for a driver in trouble along with the safety crew waiting to get to him. Nascar still doesn't have an on-site medical crew at their races and instead, relys on local paramedics to perform the work on their races. As for what's boring? It's all in the eye of the beholder. I can just as easily say cars driving around in a circle for 4 + hours is boring. Many would agree. To each his own.
  22. Not tryin to start anything but thats the funniest thing I've heard today but then again I've only been up a little while... 1995 - Indy 500 ratings (the year before the split) around a 9.5 Daytona 500 ratings, same year around a 5.5 1996 - Indy 500 ratings (first year of the split) around a 6.0 Daytona 500, same year around a 9.5 It's well known that Bill France was instrumental in convincing Tony George (owner of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway) to start his own racing series. I wonder why.
  23. According to Tony George on Wind Tunnel last night, the new IRL will look alot like the CART of the 90's. Why the guy just didn't buy the CART owners out years ago is beyond me. His little power play to takeover has cost OW racing dearly.
  24. This is sorta a unification though neither series is in good condition right now. Prior to the split in 1996, OW racing was bigger than Nascar.
