I'd like to suggest a Legends of Bass Resource section on this site. I'll nominate kabuki for immediate induction. He's already missed.

Wrestling Fans-I Need Your Help
" I am the man of the hour, the one with the power, too sweet to be sour..." Ohh, wait. That was superstar Billy Graham. Have you thought about using him for an example instead? He was the one that made wrestling what it is today. Hulk Hogan ripped off his persona as well as Jesse Venturi. He's been involved with the ministry since retiring from wrestling.

Comparing house brand reels and name brand reels
I know lots of guys jumped on those Cabela's Revo SC versions back when they were $70 a pop on sale. They were a cross between an S and a SX. I owned all three, there was no difference in the quality nor fit and finish between the house brand Revo and the Garcia models. None.

Cheap Reel
Admit it Kent, you're jealous. If you squint your eyes just right and turn the brightness on your computer monitor all the way down it looks just like a Calais.

Charter Fishing
Follow Lunds advice. You predictions for your income are grossly overstated BTW. It's doubtful you'll make even half that amount.

Easy winterizing???
Just remember that if you decide to put the boat to rest and fog the engine, you'll have to re-fog the motor again after you use it if one of those spring thaws comes around the end of January early FeB.

You're Invited to the 5th Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
while I'm sure that kind of behavior is pretty common up there in Northern Illinois, you boys better remember where this road trip is taking place at. I wonder if there'll be enough closet space for Leo and all those extra outfits he'll be bringing.

If you were to track your bass fishing what is relevant?
In the first 10 years or so of bass fishing I kept one. It was handy in learning what worked from one season to the next and helped me learn trends that often exist from lake to lake. Then I just stopped. !. I often found myself trying to recreate past successful fishing experiences instead of fishing within the moment. 2. Carrying a log book around on the lake would've inevitably led to the log book getting ruined. 3. As I came more proficient, I was able to recollect past experiences when fishing in the here and now. The log I've seen on this site is as good as any. With any fishing log, use if for reference and as a learning tool to understand how the fish were behaving given the conditions that were present at the time and NOT for using as some sort of guide to recreate past successes. Fish in the here and now and you'll succeed vs trying to live in the past.

What gauge wire for trolling motor ?
Perhap you can show a link to the extension cable you used. I can't seem to google up any 6 gauge outdoor extension cables.

Bass Pro Sneaky?
I'm not siding 100% with BPS in any way but a lot of you are completely forgetting just how much BPS has marked down and on sale in their individual stores that aren't on their website. You just can't have it all ways.

Nitro 189
Back a few years ago, when the kids were younger and smaller and we did the whole "family fun" thing with the boat, the wife and I looked at one of those new 18 1/2 ft Nitro Ski and Fish boats along with a few others. I emphasize the Ski part because the room available for fishing sucked. There wasn't any. From the postage stamp back deck to the front deck that wasn't much bigger to virtually no storage mostly due to the interior space being compromised for those back seats and those snitzy swivel captains seats. I just went over and priced one of those. You're going to be looking at 30 Grand for one of those boats when you're done planting the 150 on the back. You can get a heck of a nice 19-20ft bass boat which you and your family can enjoy just as much as that Ski and fish AND you'll have a great fishing platform for the whole year. I skipped that fish and ski and never regretted it. BTW, if your heart is set on one of those type boats, I wouldn't even consider anything smaller than a 20 footer.

All Star Platinum P787C
The 787 is a heavy /fast action rod. I owned one at one time and the power plus action of that rod was just way more than I needed. Instead I have a pair of 786 rods that I do most of my plastic and jig fishing with. If you throw a lot of heavier plastics or jigs into heavy cover and prefer the 6'6" rod length that would be the rod for you. I'd also search Ebay or the forums for a used Titanium in the same model. I don't know why the Platinums were discontinued. I suspect All Star will replace it with something else. Probably an upper end rod with SG's?

Casting ability between reels.....brain teaser question
First of all, the New PQ reel is being built on the Pure fishing Revo style frame. The Extreme isn't so you're talking about 2 completely different reels. Thus a pure one on one comparison can't be made. The most difficult part of the cast to control is the beginning of the cast, that's where centrifugal brakes come into play. Due to the snapping action of the wrist and arm, control of the spool is most difficult at that time vs the end of the cast. Most of us are experienced enough to control a cast at the end where the magnetic brakes come into play. The only time mag brakes are advantageous are when you're throwing high profile baits or light baits with a wind blowing. I use dual braking reels. I normally have the mag braking off. If the wind picks up or I start tossing a lighter lure or a high profile one I'll make mag adjustments accordingly. One of the most important parts of getting correct spool spinup is your spool tension knob being adjusted correctly and using a smooth casting action and follow through.

so so happy...
If you're fishing all of those there are some here that can help you on some of the lakes. LOZ for example.

Why don't you get an attorney and find out? About all you can get here are uninformed opinions. Seek advice from a place that knows the laws concerning used vehicles (boats) in your state.

Funeral buisness
Most big box retailers are operating like this in regards to poor employee treatment. I worked for Best Buy and around 5 years ago they stopped calling their employees "employees" and instead, called them "organic assets". Best Buy wasn't a great employee friendly place to begin with but it got worse after that. I suppose it's easier for upper level management to put the screws to the people doing the work if they take the human face off of them and refer to them as an organism. :
