Funeral buisness
I just viewed the list of caskets at walmart.com The last one is really cheap but the design is a little out there for a typical funeral. Must be an oversized as it's called the "Sleeping Giants". $12.88 though. Made by the casket salesmen??? :

Bankruptcy sale; Ranger, Champion & Stratos
Looks like the economy tanking and Genmars introduction of a new technology (VEC) which is used in their new Fincraft line at the beginning of the year probably strained the resources at a really critical time. Genmar announced sales down only 5% in fiscal 07-08 in June of last year. Then the new VEC (Fincraft) line entering the market to compete against aluminum boat sales in January of this year and then their Yacht group begins laying off in March. Then bankruptcy announcements in June.

Funeral buisness
That's a real problem. Casket shows up from Fed Ex or UPS and it's damaged. Then what? I can see some states quickly enacting laws that free the funeral homes from any liability for any situation that might arise from this and possibly ban the sales period. In the end, the funeral home will wind up looking like the bad guy if there's a screw up by either the shipper or Wal mart. Not fair at all.

Opie and the Couger
Had that show happened these days, Helen would've married Andy and then wound up as a desperate house wife while Andy was spending all that time on Myers lake fishing with Opie and Goober. Helen was definitely a wild thing and way ahead of her time.

Beware of UPS when shipping rods....
They know it's too much temptation for workers in the sorting facilities to use them for javelin throwing contests. My brother worked in a UPS sorting facility for quite a few years. He always said if it absolutely has to get there in one piece, don't use UPS. ;D

- Windows 7?
Upgrades to newer versions of Windows were usually forced for the following reasons: 1. Windows ceased supporting the version OS the consumer was using. 2. Due to changes in applications, programs purchased would no longer run on older versions of Windows. (failure to support legacy applications) 3. Pure dissatisfaction with the current windows product and hoping the next version would improve. I sure have. I deal with extensive Java based programs within MS's glorious IE everyday. Since MS doesn't even bundle Java within it's OS (all apart of that anti-trust thing), it often has problems with one of the most popular programming languages used in internet based programming today. Java aside, it's all about programmers having to write programs to interact with windows API. Not an easy task and it shouldn't be that way. Consumers often make the wrong choices. The pro's (TV studios, film makers, commercial video recording medium) continued to use the Betamax and derivatives of that format for many years to come. They knew the advantages and acted accordingly. MAC is in much the same shape that Betamax was. It now targets a different user that doesn't care for windows, at least having that OS interfere with the running of specific applications they use and it's the reason it's more of a commercial version of an operating system vs. a system that has mass appeal. Yep, it's tough to find a lot of programs designed to run on a MAC. Much the same way it got difficult to find movies that were also available on Betamax. MAC pricing? It's tough to drop pricing when you're selling so few units. When you can mass market to the entire world you can price accordingly.- I guess Quantum deserves it rep..
A long problem with Quantum reels isn't so much that the finish fades or overly wears, it's that the finish begins flaking badly or peeling off the reel and looks more like a cancer, in an unusually short period of time as compared to other reel brands. Otherwise they're a competent reel though I think they're overpriced.- Windows 7?
That's the problem. An operating system should rarely be seen or heard. Windows has a perpetual ego problem Windows has an ego problem? WINDOWS?!?! HA! Try again. And people can claim that Windows is glitchy as much as they want, but the fact is that as long as you aren't dumb, there really aren't too many problems with it. I don't own a computer because it has windows or to run windows. I use a computer to run applications. The operating system should merely be a graphical interface to allow that to happen. MS has long tried to insist that it's all about windows. I should not have to upgrade my computer to install an operating system. I should have to upgrade my computer if applications I need for use at home or work require it. An operating system should be in the background and only use resources as minimally as possible. It also shouldn't either become confused and lock up nor inform me that a program is confusing it on a rather consistent basis nor ask me if I wish to inform the designers of the operating system if I wish to report to them why their operating system has once again failed to allow an application to run properly on my computer. While no program can be programmed perfectly, Windows has always had issues running just about any application at some point without running into conflicts of some sort, often caused by it's own presence on the computer. Windows has an ego because it's always been about Windows. Windows and the MAC OS are sorta like the old VHS vs. Betamax. Beta was the superior format. It provided a much better picture with better response. It failed to garner the market because the American consumer was ignorant to it's superior advantages and instead, settled for the status quo. Such as it is with Windows though in the case of that operating system, the terms anti trust have long since applied but were always ignored till it was way too late in the game.- Windows 7?

Those 201's were Beaut's. Nice boat. Congrats. 8-)- My advice on first baitcaster.
Nonsense. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1246369553/ It's all in knowing which low cost (cheap) baitcaster to purchase. I could teach a newbie to throw a baitcaster a lot easier on a 4600 series Garcia or a BPS Extreme, both can be had at around $50 on sale vs a Revo STX which sells for around $150, best price (old version). There is quality, low cost gear to be had out there. Once you're above $150 for a reel you're picking nits.- I guess Quantum deserves it rep..
Sounds like the level wind drive gear probably stripped some teeth. I had an old older accurist that had a similar problem. The gear was plastic. The part was unavailable back then. That was my biggest complaint with Quantum (parts availability on fairly new reels) besides the finishes which just don't hold up.- Cheater (Robby Rose) caught, cuffed and stuffed.
Interesting. I wasn't aware of this guy before this but you guys can basically fill me in. He seems to have won a LOT of T's he entered, often fishing alone in TX tournaments yet when he stepped up to the big leagues, BASS, he stunk. http://proxy.espn.go.com/outdoors/bassmaster/media/angler?anglerId=4401&type=7 Really makes you wonder just how many times this guy cheated to win. >- Wrestling....
Back when I was a teenager, we used to watch wresting on the local TV stations studio and on TV. Guys like Dick the Bruiser, Harley Race, the Funk brothers, etc. It was OK. Cigar smoking, slightly overweight guys going at each other. Then this guy came along name Superstar Billy Graham. He was amazing and was the guy most responsible for wrestling turning into the glitzy deal it is today. He was a pioneer in that regard. Hulk Hogan along with Jesse Venturi were exact copies of him to a T. I haven't watched wrestling in years.- Lure Pass #1 About to kick off!

Don't know if it's possible but it would be great if at some point during the registration period for the forum, new users were forced to at least see that those pages exist and where they are. There are many, many questions asked on the boards with answers contained within all those 5,000 pages.- Cheater (Robby Rose) caught, cuffed and stuffed.
I've followed it from a couple other forums. Apparently Robby Rose has already taken his personal website down. I'm not sure how I'd feel now had I placed 2nd place in any previous tournament he won- im6,im8,im10 rods
You've read it here. It's been covered before. It's also covered in the Bass Articles in the menu drop down above. http://www.bassresource.com/beginner/bass_fishing_rods.html Essentially the IM rating is meaningless since all rod manufacturers build their rods different. A cheaply made IM6 rod can easily weigh more than a more expensive IM6 rod made by another manufacturer and also be much less sensitive.- Messin' with the newbie
Minor stuff. I don't know about your job but I can't be sending new workers, regardless of how gullible they are, on a made up mission that takes an hour of their day up just for my amusement. I think I'd have some answering to do with the boss if I was wasting the newbies time doing that instead of training him to do more productive things.- New Goal For Those Attending Next Year's Roadtrip
Where is that lake in relation to Pickwick?- Lure Pass #1 About to kick off!
The "mob" as you call them is merely reacting to his own posts which don't indicate he can't get the package out on time due to honest personal issues but instead, include promises of shipping and providing the info to prove he shipped. He further attempts to validate his honesty by claiming he has a very high, positive Ebay seller score. He sank his own ship. Too bad the guy who started this with the best of intentions got reamed in the process. - Windows 7?
