  1. The Tatula is better and can be had for $100 on walmart.com, though I agree the Lexa palms better. Another option might be cabelas prodigy which is on sale right now for $80 and I believe is more or less the same as a Lexa.
  2. This is the cheapest unit with GPS and SI, and I am on a budget-is it worth the $450 or is the resolution to weak and the screen too small for SI?
  3. Where is the next Citica? Curados are too hi dollar for me so I buy its little brother.
  4. Ive had an Ardent C400 for 5 years and havent had any problems a good cleaning did not take care of, I sent it to DVT once and he said it was like a Curado on the inside. Now it was an early dark red colored one, the later grey/college colored ones and the Edge series seem to get a bad rep so maybe the quality control was not up to par. Also I thought the review on TT of the xs1000 was a bit unfair-TT talked about its high quality bearings, drag, casting distance compared to a Steez/Revo Premier, and good durability then gave it a 5.91. Change the name to Shimano/Daiwa it would have received a 7.91.
  5. Look up info on Team Daiwa x reels, I believe one had a special tune/spool and had outrageous casting distance but havent been manufactured for 5 years, but can still be found on Ebay.
  6. Send me a flyer, Shafer is a good lake for me.
  7. I like Bass better because I think A-rigs should not be in tournaments-isnt that why trolling was banned early on-to make anglers use a single rod/reel at a time which had just 1 lure.........anyway every FLW tournament on TV except the early Florida flippin one is an A-rig fest, no strategy/talent needed like the Bass Elites. Also both have college tournaments-just watch ESPN-U for the BASS ones, but to me a bunch of spoiled rich kids acting like Iaconelli means I'll watch something else.
  8. Might try Wal Mart-my local one has Abu Vendettas for $29.95.
  9. I like the Wileys too, my Blue Air Rage glasses will probably last forever.
  10. Send it to DVT and let him take a look at it-I have a Trion that is a few years old and it casts fine with just two brakes on.
  11. I use a 6'4" All Star spinnerbait rod too, if you need to replace it Falcon rods have a 6'4" spinnerbait rod in their Lowrider series.
  12. Yo-Zuri jerkbaits and rattle baits work good, would like to see the them bring back the Hardcore Drum.
  13. I use T-tails as spinnerbait/swim jig trailers, but if they are gone try out swim senkos.
  14. I have the same WR1 rod and a TAS Spinnerbait rod which I believe is the same im10x blank-they get plenty of use.
  15. 2 brakes no magnets on, spool full of 10# Yo Zuri, on a 7ft David Fritss rod with a 5/8 Clunn Lucky Craft crank. Same rod, line and crank with Shimano Citica 100D or Pflueger Asaro will cast 20ft further.
  16. I must be in the minority here but I am not impressed by the Pro Q. Casting distance wasnt that great, or maybe the 5.2 geared ones lose distance with their bigger spool, but after 50 casts I decided I wasted $80.
  17. I have been using Hybrid the last couple of years, and I was thinking of using Yo Zuris H20 100% FC for added sensitivity & stealth. Any opinions on this line?
  18. I dont know why Pflueger is so overlooked, their reels are the best bang for the buck IMO.
  19. A Pflueger Patriarch LP will cast light lures as well as a 50E and can be had in a 7.1 gear.
  20. If you watched some FLW events it has done quite well......but I still think its cheating throwing five as opposed to one and I havent been able to find any Shadalicious swimbaits anywhere thanks to it and thats been my go to lure the last couple of years.
  21. Yo-Zuri handles/casts very good for a line that is also abrasion resistant and has high knot strength, and the price of it is barely any more than a good mono-but lasts 2 or 3 times as long.
  22. I have the PQ in a 5.2 to 1, bought it for $80, good reel for the money but the way people on this board were talking I expected better, and I wish I had just spent the extra money and bought an E5 Curado.
  23. Team Daiwa S 6'3" MH 1/4 to 1 oz. will work just fine.
  24. I have had a C400 for 3 years now with zero problems, although I did send it once to Delaware V.T. for a cleaning. It casts better than my Citicas.
  25. I sometimes use berkelys T-tails which are a mini swimbait.
