  1. Yo zuri hybrid 10lb diameter is the same as Stren, Suffix, McCoys, and Gammas mono/copoly lines, cxx and xt are larger. So really the line diameter of Yo Zuri is the norm and it is stronger at its diameter than most. My only problem with it is like any fluro have a backlash and you will most likely get a break in your spool which is why I went to Gamma or McCoys.
  2. When the Booyah ones came out I was fishing an xcalibur and my friend a Booyah in sexy shad colors I was catching them and he was not. Makes me think they are different.
  3. Their ads make me laugh "Swedish engineered". Ya right like others said same reels as Bass Pro or Lews.
  4. Falcon ml moderate fast 6'6" casting rod with Pflueger Asaro reel and 8lb gamma copoly line works for shad raps for me. I only using spinning for drop shot or dock skipping or crappie jigs.
  5. 1-1/4 cavitron buzzbait in black early morning 2-1/4 Lucky Craft G-Spash popper in chartreuse shad
  6. Gamma copoly and McCoys are both great. I use to like Yo-zuri hybrid but I had it break in the spool like regular fluoro.
  7. That's the Cabelas nearest me too , are they having a spring classic like BPS?
  8. That is not good news I will be stocking up, I messed up a decade or so earlier when my hometown Hildebrandt was bought out and I did not stock up.
  9. Terminator use to make a series called Tiny T, they were discontinued when Rapala bought them out.
  10. First sign up at Basspro.com, a lot of times they give out coupons like $20 off $100. Their spring classic starts I think Feb15th, and all their house brand stuff will be on sale. They also have a rod/reel trade in at that time to receive even further discount.
  11. Use it. Gamma copoly is great long lasting line.
  12. My favorites are old Hildebrandt spinners that were made in my hometown. They are long gone but i still have a few 1/8 for crappie. Now I luse War Eagle or Stan Sloan Zorros.
  13. Do you know anyone near Ft Myers Florida? There is a fishing outlet store there that sells nos All Star Platinum, Asr and Team All Star rods .
  14. I also recommend Orra Inshore. I bought one to fish in Florida while visiting friends for Reds/Snook and Bass. Great reel and not that expensive on ebay.
  15. In Wisconsin I'd use it as a buzzfrog/hollow belly swimbait/big worm rod around the pads.
  16. Original is cheaper, CT is slightly more compact . Same performance. I have an original, it's great, use it with a 6'8" Falcon rod casting blade baits. Can't recommend it enough.
  17. I like the old Team Daiwa s rods.
  18. Pflueger tends to have new models every year, wait for clearance sales in the spring and snag one cheap. I have a gold xt I bought for $70 at gander mountain a couple of years ago, it's a nice upgrade over the pres.
  19. I have a Falcon ml I use to cast 1/8th ounce buzz baits and spinnerbaits. Check their lowrider series out.
  20. I have green Costa 580gs and don't see what all the fuss is about. I also have a pair of Wileyxs and a Kaenons Arlo. Can't tell the difference between the Kaenons trivex lens and Costas glass lens on the water, and Wileys are close in clarity.
  21. I am a shimano/daiwa guy myself but I bought an abu garcia orra inshore bc reel for dual duty when I visit my buddy in Florida, and it's an excellent reel that lists for 149 but on ebay/walmart.com/amazon it's like 110 tops. Can't recommend it enough.
  22. I have the Orra inshore, which is basically a winch with a 7.3 to 1 gear ratio and extra corrosion protection. It's a very good reel, I like it better than my citica g7.
  23. Just look for a used citica/curado 100dsv on ebay.
