  1. Can you name them? Is Canobie open yet? Big Island?
  2. Yeah there is lots of open water but I need nearly ice out since I want to boat. Hopefully by this weekend there will be a few that are completely open.

  4. A lot lately but today a Falcon Bucco M moderate 7' and a penn reel. Putting 8 lb fluoro on it and using mainly for shakies and DS.
  5. Awesome, thanks. Ive got a 16-1/2 ft Bass Tracker with a 50HP. Im not familiar with any part of the river so whatever would be easiest and holds fish is where I want to go. I have no preference but Hookset souds good. I wanna try for next weekend. Never knew Walleye were around here. Ive never seen or caught one. But Im after the smallies. Thanks for the advice. Tom
  6. Within the next week or two I would like to hit the Merrimack as well. Never been and was wondering about current etc. Is it easy to navigate in a boat? Tom

  9. My son is 8 and been fishing since he could. I just upgraded him to a 6'6" lightning rod. 50.00.
  10. Cool, we will see how it goes. Ive got 40 lb braid on my pitching / jigging rod and 12 Fluoro on my crank rod.
  11. No, I used all braid. Thinking I may have issues.
  12. Hi All Last night I put 20lb braid on my jerkbait / topwater rod on a Lews bait caster. Is that diameter too thin to where it will dig in to my spool? Trying braid this year. Thanks Tom
  13. I would love to meet some of you locals and do a little fishing. Im not in any clubs and have never done a tourney but I think it would be fun to meet up and catch some fish. I have a spot on my boat for a non boater. Take a day off from work and hit a local lake. Tom
  14. Same here. I see lots of rocks and fast moving water. If I am to put my bass boat in, I want a lower moving area where Rock are not an issue.
  15. Master flipping and pitching jigs and weighted creatures.
  16. In the past when Ive used brait to tie direct, I had issues with the knot slipping. I typically use a palomar. Is there a different one I should be using? Thanks for the help. Tom
  17. Im a C&R guy. Not a big fish eater and won't eat anything other than haddock. Even if one died, I would not eat it.
  18. Ive never fished the Merrimack or any river for LM or SM ( other than the mouth for Stripers ) Where are there launches in Manchester / Concord area? I would love to fish it but don't know where to go. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Tom

  21. Hi all I plan to learn to pitch Jigs and Texas rigged plastics with pegged tungsten weights this season with my new MHF 7" set up. 1. If you had to pick two size weights, what would they be? Thinking 1/4 and 1/2 but not sure if 1/4 is too small. 2. Does anyone on here sell them? Was gonna order from TW but figured Id ask if anyone else sells them. Thanks Tom
