Anyone Have Any Luck In Southern Nh Yet? (4/6/12)
Naticook is alright.. I guess usually a lot of smaller fish and not a lot of structure or cover to fish if I was gonna fish it though the last time i was there I fished around the island where there was weed cover and almost all of the docks on the lake. My best luck came from the big floating dock on the lake over by the summer camp. A guy who my friend built a deck for in merrimack pulled a 7lb bass out of the lake some ought years ago and its hanging in his house, but the last time I went there we caught a bunch of small fish mostly. Who knows though being spawning time the hogs could be up in the shallows and you could get lucky.

There's weeds if you pull out of the boat ramp and go out towards the middle of the lake and go right all the way down youll see it all open up and to your right you'll see the highway running open and there usually a lot of weeds on that shore also if you go down to the left out of the boat ramp all along the shore all the way down there's a boy scout camp that has lots of big rocks good smallmouth fishing down there all in all a lot of the good size fish are close to the docks and fallen timber on shores

I got friends that live in Hollis so whenever I fish I am usually with one of them. but I have yet to get in any trouble by the P.D "cross-finger'. On the other hand though I love it there, there is so much to fish and the waters clear plus its close to home I fished most of the big boudler areas in the 5-7ft water range and got some pretty good size fish. I could see fish all around the beds, but no monsters I wanna try up where you guys are fishing on Spofford and Stumpfield. I might give those a try either this week or next

Also biggest bass in NH came from Potanipo and I guarntee there is another hog in there too. I know you probably wont wanna reveal any of your secret spots haha I wouldnt either, but if you dont mind me asking where you fish mostly thats close to Milford that has some good bass fishing??

Really?? I haven't really checked the water temp with a gauge or depth finder or anything is the temp at about 57-63 degrees they must be building the beds right about now which is my favorite time of year cause the big hogs with hit anything that gets into their nest.... even my lure haha

Rocky Pond in Hollis where I fish from shore their I don't know if its actually legal, but if you enter the dirt road trail that leads along the pond in a circle and goes through all the camps you'll end up near an abandoned kinda cabin and you can just walk down and there's a small beach area you can fish from and Rocky Pond has some good sized bass last year I pulled out mostly 2-3lbers about 7-8 in a day and then come night time I pulled out a 4.6 out of some weeds on a jitterbug

I also focus a lot on the shoreline when looking for places to fish then move off to deeper water from their, but lately I've been going back to the basics and thinking to myself why am I focusing on these places when there's nothing beneficial for a bass as to oxygen shelter or food. Also I fish a lot during the morning which is form like 5:30-10:00 and at night which is like 5:30-8ish or so and that's when I fish really I never really try during the middle of the day or at afternoon times because I never have luck because I usually cant find fish that are feeding nor can I find good structure. Where as in the morning and night they come to the shallows to feed.

It seems like every time I go out I always have trouble finding good healthy structure or places where good size bass would live I guess I really have to change my focus on where I'm fishing really.

Are a lot of you guys using fish finders to locate structure it seems like every time I try to locate structure it ends up being around shore land and the water is to shallow and mucky to hold fish and sometimes I'll get lucky on some good structure, but on new lakes and ponds its very hard to find producing areas that are holding fish with structure.

Which part are you fishing of the Nashua River??? I fished the boat ramp by stellos stadium and had no luck, but that was early April like April 1st now that we have warm weather I would assume it be different Also is it the same concept during the spring as it is summer where the bass will come up to eat in the morning and evening and during midday they'll go deep??? I figured seeing as how we had the full moon and all the warm weather they'd be up shallow building their beds so i fished the best cover I could, but not much luck there was a decent amount of docks to I fished a couple, but my main focus was the cover wear flats kind of were I wanna get these big fish.
