Who Here Sprays Scent Into Their Bags Of Plastics?
OK, I'll come clean. I will either: 1. Do nothing. 2. Add some JJ's Magic the night before. 3. Slobber some MegaStrike on the plastics in the bag. 4. If in the mood, will grind up a bunch of Nightcrawlers and put the goo in the bag. If I go with the JJ's I don't add MegaStrike and visa versa. If I go with the Nightcrawlers goo that is all I put in the bag. Yummy!

Here We Go Again, Accordig to WXRisk...
FIRST CALL MAP IS HERE CHANGES & DISCUSSION FROM DAVE AT WXRISK.COM ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON As I stated early this Sunday morning ...all the short range models continue to bring the snow in faster and by that we mean the START TIME earlier on Monday morning. So if you are watching any TV forecasts or reading a forecast which has the precipitation beginning of snow in the Richmond metro area by 7:00 AM then you are looking at a bad forecast based upon all the current data. In fact it looks like the snow will probably begin over far Southwest VA BY 11PM and Roanoke/Lexington sometime after 1 or 2 AM on Monday morning. I may be a little too high with the snow amounts in eastern or southeastern Ohio that maybe just in the last call map. I have increased the snow amounts in area C especially over the northern portion of that zone because it looks like the precipitation there is going to break out pretty quick and the cold there IS going to hold for a while. And also I have adjusted some to start times in many of the zones as well. The "definite" looks like the atmosphere will be cold enough for snow for at least a few hours across Southeast Virginia and Hampton Roads. The EARLIER SNOW START times is key -- as we stated several times over the past 5 days ... the earlier the snow begins on Monday then the more likely you are to see significant snow and more ice build because it keeps the cold air trapped in place longer. Indeed the latest 4KM NAM and 4KM REGM (that is the high resolution short range Canadian model for those of you who do not know what the RGEM is) keeps the 32° line very close to the RIC metro area until almost 7:00 in the evening on Monday. * Even at 1:00 AM on Monday morning locations such Greensboro, Hickory & the far NW corner of NC is still at or below 32° as is Lynchburg, Roanoke and the entire Virginia Piedmont up into Washington, DC and Baltimore and the eastern panhandle WVA . The upper levels of the atmosphere are way too warm to support snow by this time but the low level temperatures with the "cold air wedge" is trapped and this ensures that any precipitation coming in Monday evening over the entire Shenandoah Valley, all of the VA Piedmont and into Central MD & far northwest NC should be all ice !!!! . That being said again, it needs to be noted that the weather models continue to take the main LOW up the coast BUT on a track that is well inland. If you are reading or watching some sort of weather information either on TV, on a web site or social media that tells you that the LOW track has shifted to the east then you are watching somebody who is either lying or as an idiot. . Once the main LOW begins to develop the south winds will blast apart the cold air wedge by 4:00 AM on Tuesday morning and all the precipitation will go over to all rain across the icy areas of western VA and central western MD by 4 to 7am Tuesday morning . By Tuesday afternoon the Main LOW will be located over Harrisburg or between Harrisburg/ Philadelphia. The cold air will come pouring in behind LOW and it is possible that the northern end of the Shenandoah Valley as well as southwestern PA, western MD and the eastern portions of WVA will go back over to snow for a least a few hours. There may be additional small accumulations on the backlash snow but I will deal with that in more detail in the last and final forecast, "THE LAST CALL." LikeCommentShare

A State Trooper Plls over an 87 Year Old Lady....
A State Trooper pulled an 87 year old lady over for speeding. As he looked at her drivers license he was surprised to notice that attached to it was a conceal weapon permit. Taken aback, he couldn't help but ask if she had a gun in her possession. She replied in her crackly voice that she indeed did have a 45 automatic in her glove compartment. The trooper then asked if she had any other weapons to which she replied that she also had a 9mm Glock in her center console. The shocked trooper asked if that was all and the little old lady held up her purse and replied, "Well, I do keep a 38 special in my purse." Finally the astonished trooper asked, "What are you afraid of..?" And the little old lady smiled and replied, "Not a Freaking thing."

Favorite Commercial?
The Super Bowl commercials were OK. Nothing to get excited about. What I like are the commercials on YouTube from Europe that are hysterical. Seems the European's do not have the same hang-ups us Americans have and their commericals are great. However, they cannot be shown in the good ole USA. So check out funny commercials or banned commercials and enjoy. Kyle, forget the above until you are 30-years old.

Who Here Sprays Scent Into Their Bags Of Plastics?
- Talking to the locals
Yes, I speak with locals but try to stay away from asking definitive questions, such as "where are the bass?," "what baits and colors should I throw?," etc. I just get some macro information in lieu of pestering the guy with micro information that he does not want to give to you. And does it help? Mostly, no. The data locals give applied to when they last fished the water. Now, water clarity, temperature, depth, current, along with the weather has changed everything. So when the local tells you to throw white spinnerbait around docks, the information is not valid unless the fishing conditions are the same when he threw a white spinnerbait around docks. There are no short cuts in learning bass fishing. You need to study the water, weather, forage, time of year and all of the other aspects of your opponent so that when you hit the water you will have a good idea of where they "should be" and what baits and techniques will work. Its called "finding the pattern" and it is easier said than done.- Is 125 feet enough main line on spinning reel
Take the setup outside and cast as far as you can. Take two more arm lengths of line off the reel. Back up until the line you took off the reel is straight with the line you casted. Put rod and reel on ground and knowing that each step is three-feet, walk to the end of your line. Then turn around and walk back counting a yard for every three feet. This will give you an idea of how much line you need on your reel if you plan to cast the setup Just an old way of estimating how much line you need on your reels. In no way scientific or exact, but you will have a good idea of how much line you may need for casting.- NEED ROD HELP BY TOMORROW MORNING
"So I ended up going with a 6'6 medium heavy, fast action which makes it like a medium." Outstanding! What brand did you select? This rod is extremely versatile. You can throw many techniques and baits plus use it to skip under docks and piers. You have made the Bait Monkey proud.- NEED ROD HELP BY TOMORROW MORNING
1. Decide what presentations you will be throwing and look for a rod that fits the specifications. Rod companies are printing the best techniques for their rods on the rod, itself, so look at the data. 2. Bring your reels with you and put them on the rods to see how they feel with the reel on it. We can give you so many suggestions it will scramble your brains. So look at the individual rods and read their parameters and what they are designed to handle and have a fun time. Remember, selecting a rod can take over an hour so go by yourself and enjoy every minute. Let us know what brand and rod parameters you purchased.- Lake Anna Va.
The fish are still in the areas and would expect them to be deep and holding on structure and drop offs. Interesting you did not find any in the lower sections of the lake. I think they were there, either out farther or taking advantage of any warmer water along the bank. I plan to do the same thing you did with your sonar this year to try to learn it better. Good report for those of us who fish One Fish Anna. Thanks.- East coast storm, how were you affected
Have another one heading to the east coast this weekend. Dave says so so it is so. Wxrisk.com added 2 new photos.- Dave Mirra found dead
Too many people do not share their problems with others and carry them around while putting on a happy face. You never know what is going on in someone's mind, home, work or relationships. As you go through life you will encounter other unnecessary losses. Some you will have an inkling that there is a problem while you will have no idea about the majority. Everyone thought Robin Williams was a success; had money; a beautiful wife; a great home; movie and TV contracts; all of which we would love to have. He had a serious disease that we did not know about which was a heavy cross to bear for him. Even when things are not going as you wish there is no reason to take your life. There are too many people and services out there to help you through the tough times. So sorry for his loss. So unnecessary.- Need a Mail Box?
Now that is a great mailbox. Any neighbors upset?- Lake Anna Va.
Nitro, did you hit the rip rap by the Route 208 bridge? What about the marina across the lake from High Point Marina?- Lost and Found
A beautiful chartreuse crankbait in a tree that was only accessible at high tide in a creek off the Chickahominy River. Looked like it was casted only a few times and at low tide so the owner could not get to it. Take it with me but have not thrown it. Afraid I will get it stuck in a tree!- Storing Hooks
In a drawer in my man cave at home. I take what I think I will use for any one fishing excursion and keep them in a Plano tackle box in the boat. I make sure all hooks are taken off the rods and are dry when I store them. I try to keep them in their original packaging so I, as stated above, will know what kind they are.- What do you guys eat during a tournament?
Protein. You need protein to keep up your energy level. A PB&J sandwich or just a peanut butter sandwich hits the spot. You can snack on them; have one or two for lunch; have one on the way home. No worry about having them on ice and they are easy to store. Whatever you decide to do make it a strong protein snack. Carbs will put you to sleep as will sugar so avoid the sugar drinks and hit the water.- Disney World Fishing Trip
Bankbeater, bring them along. Up to 5 people on the pontoon boat. Lots of room and if you don't want to fish you can sit under the canopy and read or watch the birds and scenery. Everyone has a good time.- Good news today
Outstanding and congratulations on your successful treatment. We are glad to have you with us on the Forum.- New Lafayette, LA member
OK, here's the deal. You wear purple and gold when you go fishing and yell "Geaux Tigers!" when you set the hook and post pictures of your biggest catches so we can eat our hearts out. Welcome! You will learn a lot from us guys and gals on the Forum so ask your questions and we will give you lots of input. Glad you are with us.- Super Bowl Predictions
I have look a the stats and given my selection a lot of thought and am gong with the Broncos, 24-10. Defense will rule the day and I expect Denver to shut down Newton's running game with an aggressive defense strategy. Turnovers will rule the day. The less you have the more you win. So, I pick the Broncos 24-10 in a defensive battle. So what say you guys?- Taking family to meet Mickey in Orlando...I wanna meet some Bass!
Check out my post in the Fishing Reports section. Disney is OK to fish but of course, there are other places you can drive to have a good trip, too. Cost is $455 for four hours on the Disney World canals. You can rent a Nitro for less. Ask for Captain Bill to be your captain if you fish Disney. He is a great guy and he will put you on bass and also keep you entertained. Check out "Fishing Disney World" on the web for their phone number. Have a Magical Day!- Fishing muddy brown water, what do you use??
Bass use these senses to hunt: Sight Sound/Vibration Taste In heavy stained water you lose the sight option so go with sound and vibration so they can hone onto your bait and then see it at the last moment.- Just got some exciting news
Outstanding. Congrats to the family. - Talking to the locals
