  1. Senko wacky rigged. Maybe some crankbaits and swimbaits Good luck hope you do well
  2. now if they would only put one in california I don't even live there but seems to me they wouldn't lose money there
  3. What the hell, What avid said. There is absoulutly no reason why anyone should fish without a license
  4. If it was on a military post I would have found someone there and let them know about it, They would have been the proper authority to deal with the problem People are ignorant you see it everyday but when someones ignorance involves an child who dosen't know any different thats when something needs to be done. So I would have to say yes you did right by leaving but did wrong by not letting authorites know about the situation This guy got away with it this time because he wasn't caught so what's to stop from endangering himself and more importantly the kids agin
  5. I went though that phase with senko's as well throwing nothing but them, but I burned myself out with them and while I still use them I will throw them for a while just to see if the senko bite is on but if it don't produce then cya senko time for something else.
  6. thanks agin guys I appreciate it
  7. I feel this is a dumb question but I throw it out there anyway, I need some advice on walking the dog I haven't used a spook or sammy before but went out today and bought some and haveing some problems working it right. Is it best to use spinning gear or baitcasting gear, mono would be the line I would guess to be better suited to this technique, what pound test would be best. How do you work your rod to get the action just right. Is it best on a slack line or tight. Anything you can give me will help
  8. He is probally just takeing a vacation due to all the hard work getting ready for the spawn he fiqures he will take a break and come back strong and hard for the summer He is smart like that you see he takes his vacation when no else is and when you go on vacation and happen to drive by Bps he will drop the hammer on you. The monkey is wise just wait and see
  9. In the norm thats is probally the best approach But since you brought that up the other day my brother calls me from one of the local wal-marts and says you need to get up here they are discounting all kinds of stuff on account there moving to a new bigger building down the road. So I went there and went straight to the fishing dept of course. But they wasn't discounting much there in the fishing dept but everywhere else they was. But did get lucky and find some ticki sticks for a dollar on the discount rack but only one bag of them was marked a dollar on the price finder thing. The rest were full price So I ask the guy at the sporting goods counter if the bag I had was a mistake and he said it probally was and he would give them to me for a dollar anyway on account they was trying to get rid of as much stuff as they could so they wouldn't have to pack it and apparently the manager didn't care because he was there at the counter when he told me. So I bought $30 dollars worth of ticki sticks for 10 bucks. My brother who is really into hunting bought $100 dollars worth of turkey loads for $12 and went back the next day and bought more The hunting dept had all kinds of stuff marked down I guess since there are no more seasons in thats why if it would had been november when they moved I would guess the fishing stuff would be marked down. But on a normal basis what fluke said is a good idea
  10. Couldn't have been more right on that
  11. Look at it this way, it is the one thing that the goverment requires us to pay that actually gives us a little enjoyment. Traffic tickets don't speeding tickets don't, paying taxes definatly does not. If they let one person slide because they don't have there license then when that guy tells everyone they let him slide by then there going to expected the same treatment and the molehill just gets bigger from there on. It's not fair to the ones who did purchase there licences even if the guy only goes once a year it dosen't matter. Imagine a world without the game warden where would our fisheries be then or how our hunting seasons would be without them. It's a good thing and thats great he got nailed should have gotten a license. The $15 dollars a year that I pay for my licences provides me with alot of enjoyment and no worry's about being legal. In todays world you can't get that kind of entertainment that cheap anywhere and the best part is I don't have to pay it everytime I want to go out and have fun.
  12. C&R here too but don't have a problem with someone who wants to keep a couple to eat and as stated above sometimes it's needed to help a lake or pond produce better fish
  13. what channel does linders show on I've never seen it.
  14. Yes I have caught fish on spinnerbaits. My suggestion is take nothing but spinnerbaits with you and use them until you get your confidence built up with them if you are really serious about catching fish with them
  15. http://www.fishinghurts.com/angling.asp look at how these morons think Warning if you don't want to get mad don't look
  16. After looking at my sept issue of bassmasters, I definatly agree that that fish was not 13 pounds. There is no way Even if the scales were off You could still see that it is not 13 pounds. I might have to eat my words on my previous posts and lean more toward the side of the WR being BS
  17. Roger you might be able to access it through bassmaster.com. It was on the cover of the october 05 issue
  18. That one makes me think a little different about things
  19. I kind of like the no picture theory myself considering the fact that it was the great depression and the fact that people didn't have disposable cameras or digital camera's and picture printers or a local wal-mart where they could go and have this picture developed. I read a a letter perry wrote in I think octobers issue of bassmasters where was asking for lures from creek chub lure company and it said something about a picture I'm not exactly sure what it said word for word but he did mention a picture of the fish. More than likely he only had one picture of the fish and it was sent to lure company for the reasons of getting free lures Why not it was the depression I'm sure he didn't have money to just go out and spend on fishing gear and tackle. I beleve perrys fish is legit, And 100% agree with avid That fish was not worth then what it would be now
  20. Out of curiosity was this the first time these guys fished this lake.
  21. I'm just curious to how much weight does a bass put on during the spawn. I guess an example is take a bass that weighs 5 pounds before the spawn and take the same bass during the spawn does it like gain a pound because of the spawn or do they gain just ounces.
  22. if your name is paul tormanem
  23. I'm with avid on this one. My opinion is if a hispanic caught this fish on a cane pole that fish would have been ate and nobody would have even known about it in the first place. It's right there in the history of the current world record when the bait company that produced the lure that george perry caught his on advertised there lure caught the world record bass. Whoever catches the next offical world record bass is going to be makeing money, even the angler who fishes once or twice a year is going to be smart enough to see a money making oppurtinity with a fish like that. Sorry guy's I don't buy it. they are not just doing it for the prestige of it there in it for the money as well Lets see here market my catch for every penny I can or just keep working for all my money hmmm I think I'm going to milk it for every dime I can.
  24. As long as the fish dosen't come from a private pond where the fish are fed for the purpose of growing bigger fish and it's left as natrural as public waters then I don't see a problem with it coming from a private water. I really don't see why he would say that he has a more than fair chance at catching the WR than alot of other fisherman out there. The fact of the matter is we all have the oppurtunity to catch a world record it just a matter of how much effort that one puts in to it A world record fish is a world record fish no matter if was caught in public waters or private as long as the criteria as stated above is met.
  25. Do they even stock trout in that lake surely they don't stock all the lakes out there do they. If it turns out theres no trout stocked there then there is no reason for that to be a issue anyway
