Daiwa Tatula LT or Shimano Stradic FL (spinning)? I'm torn on which to get.
So I guess I'll add my 2 cents here granted I'm rocking an fk stradic. It's a work horse and a great solid reel. I wanna try the new FL model with the spool and other upgrades. That being said I've been running 10# braid to an 8# fc leader. Have not gotten a wind knot my only issue I have and granted this thing has been used hard for years. Is my drag is still not smooth even with upgraded washers. I'm guessing something needs cleaned up or replaced somewhere in the reel. That being said I also never maintained the reel so that's probably partially the issue.

Early fall creek tips?
So the past few days I've been out and the bite has heated up big time. Lately I've been throwing a 4-5 inch stick bait on a light wacky head letting it drift. Modt of them would hit it within 5 seconds of hitting water. Also throwing fluke tubes top water. Prety much everything is working I'm over in Central PA so similar condition s

Casting reel uneven spooling
So I actually ran the line thru a beater rod and into the spool and with my 5 second spooling station ( 2 pieces of wood at a 90 angle with some bolt and some washers) manages to get it to lay nicely. I took it slow under a steady pressure and it evened out a lot better this time

Perfect pond with no big bass
So I know a pond similar to what you describe. The issue is stunted growth even though it's only bass and blue gill. I can attest to at least one monster largemouth in that pond I thought about getting permission to thin it out a little all the bass tiny body big head. And the bluegill are i would ballpark in the multi hundreds in population

Casting reel uneven spooling
That could honestly be my issue. It's weird it just really started recently doing it and my curado k never had the issue.

Casting reel uneven spooling
Thanks I'll give that a shot and I guess go from there. It will give me a good excuse to get a new reel if worse comes to worse

Casting reel uneven spooling
Hey guys so I have a johnny morris carbon Black casting reel and I was spooling it up and noticed the line favors one side Heavily. Any ideas what might cause this issue? It spools more on the left side near the breaks

Finesse Rod
So I kinda agree with the others my ml dobyns I use for baby torpedos and other lighter weight plastics and 1/8 tubes that are single dip. When I'm throwing weightless senkos or light wacky rigs or t rigs or double dip tubes I use the m mojo bass. That being said the ml can really launch some baits especially the baby torpedos.

Like the member said you baits will work well especially in lighter colors if you have any tubes deff bring them. Also can't go wrong with a baby torpedo had great success with them.

Stradic fk drag issue
So I've had my stradic fk for a few years now. Still going strong minus the drag it used to be extremely smooth and micro adjustments were noticeable. This past season I noticed the drag for a lack of better terms skips and is not smooth at all. Should I send it to dvt or someone like that to have them clean and go over it? I feel it would easier then sending it to shimano

Thoughts on the Mojo Bass
Also have the 6'8 m/xf love it for a lot of things including dragging light tubes. Like others say 6'10 might have been better. Debating on whether to get a Sierra or another mojo. Probably get a Sierra since all the carbon kites are sold out.

Shimano Expride & Vanford combo is a dream!
For me casting I got it down to a fee select set ups where the spinning year won't hack it like top water or cranks or spinner baits.

Shimano Expride & Vanford combo is a dream!
Fishing the river and creeks for smallies where it's been super clear has made me finesse hard-core. Nothing more fun then a 2-3# river bruiser on lighter tackle
