  1. gander has some quantum micro guide ones for 50 Most house brands make 2pc bps, cabelas, etc veritas has a 2pc model or 2
  2. You can even ask for a replacement in another veritas size/model if you want...fyi
  3. Some memory, nothing crazy. Some people out that line conditioner on it but I dont use anything. Its 12bucks for 600yds. I just spooled some on my mono reel so I can make it all purpose.
  4. weather looks atrocious
  5. He can try that but I believe the over the counter is 30 days in most places, then 3 years through Abu. Im not saying they wont swap it for him but I know the email route is quick.
  6. Send them an email, they will ask you to take pics of the rod, receipt if possible(if no receipt explain it was a gift) and they'll send you a new rod...arrives in about a week. May cost you the max of 9.95 but probably nothing at all. They have never asked back for a rod from myself or any of my friends.
  7. Never used a pair but the bass pro carbon black had ribbed grips and it felt like the skin on my thumb was peeling off at times.
  8. You can use some yozuri hybrid in 12-15lb tests. You can get it cheap in 600yd spools. About 12 dollars online, sports authority, cabelas, Its about 11 bucks for 275 yards at bps, but there may be tons of lines on sale ------ or You can buy a braid, 30-50lb, if you plan to frog fish or have alot of vegetation. Use the electrical tape trick on the spool to help with backlashes until you get familiar.
  9. thats good enough reason for me to take this stretchy mono off I think the suffix also frays pretty easy although it casts well.
  10. I have a citica that has 14lb suffix elite mono that I use primarily for cranking and some top water at times (I switch it between a bps cranking stick and 6ft6 rod) Main question Would this line be better suited for cranking or the 12lb yozuri hybrid which I also have? now some extra jargon---- I figure the yz would work,***** plus I could use it as general purpose line if need be on the citica. It would allow a one rod setup at times if need be with a medium vendetta until I get a dedicated cranking reel.
  11. Id pick the battery but you may have a new reel and end up like this
  12. I caught one on Friday in the rain in about 30 mins of fishing. Saturday we caught about 14 total. Most in the 2.5 to near 4lb range.
  13. I just read a new review about the helios posted on tw about the rotor getting stuck on 2 reels. May want to wait.
  14. you done goofed up!!!!!!! j/k they are great, but you should have asked this 1st
  15. I'm interested too. They look sweet. Theres also another model okuma makes thats 6.6 or 6.8 oz for 99 bucks. Both on wackle tearhouse. edit okuma rtx....also has a 20 dollar rebate
  16. I prefer lefty reels hands down! I thought about buying a rh again to give it a go, but yesterday I went inshore fishing and Ive changed my mind. I was using a 200e7 chronarch all day on a 6ft6 carbonlite which my buddy brought especially for me since he knows I bass fish alot. I had tons of fun but when it came to "walking the dog" and twitching jerk baits I know Id have been much more satisfied with a 201e7. I just have much better control using my right hand to control the rod
  17. additional fun/tutorial vid
  18. Funny, my friend just bought some today. Is this their version of the Koppers 45t...if you have one in comparison
  19. Def a place I could work....my check would goto the discounts on BPS products tho...Id be broke. I hope to get another pq, carbonlite reel(s) and a spinning rod. My friends need items so I encouraged them to wait a bit.
  20. Ill be sending you one tooooooo
  21. You can, but I like to use octopus/wacky hooks in 2/0 with the o-rings. Some like 1/0-3/0 wacky/octopus. The hook up ratio is pretty consistent and it doesn't snag many weeds. Packs are cheap. They usually get hooked in the corner of the mouth or in the top at times. I like to fish them on my spinning rod with 10lb braid or with a leader attached but use my baitcasters when they are the only option...they have various lines but I prefer the braid. I may goto hi vis yellow with a leader...I use red now and can see it pretty well. What line are you using also? Losing that many fish sucks, it can happen to anyone but if its all the time it may be the hooks/line or the hook isnt penetrating thru the senko well enough. This will help you out if youve never strolled through it, you never know what you'll find http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/12401-senko-faq- look-here-first/ I took a stroll in the small mouth section and was reading about fishing senkos with a bobber.....something I will be trying in certain areas now I love senkos too
  22. Are you texas rigging or wacky rigging?
  23. Thanks, I told a few people. My bro will get one, he's been wanting a new reel
