  1. So I decided to use the reel today and noticed the plastic bezzle around the line guide is was falling out. The Johhny Morris name plate and gold piece fell off. Some glue will fix but I shouldnt have to be rigging up new gear that hasnt been abused. The heat from my car may have loosened the adhesive up but still crappy if you ask me. None of my other reels are falling apart and Ive had them/used them longer May return it in for a lews once I get my money back and go elsewhere
  2. Anywhere free, I'm trying not to spend money to fish this weekend
  3. They are ugly but I love them
  4. Went to buy 2 gun cases, left with zoom lizards..doh
  5. Yesterday I used the pack of lake fork hyper lizards I have out of desperation. I coudlnt catch anything up until then. I caught 2 bass over 2lbs, the last being 3,3 in about 6 casts. They are big so I was expecting a huge fish but you can catch nice sized fish with it. Garlic scent is strong but the tails are weak on them....they had my buddy intrigued as he wasnt catching anything either where we were
  6. The best is subjective. The booyahs work well, walk well, are soft and no water problems for me
  7. I blame this thread for making me upgrade my cb rod from my old setup...try it tomorrow
  8. I went there to return hooks and came out with, hooks, worms, a jig, swim baits and a rod....doh
  9. Nice to hear they work well
  10. Im trying to go hit some up this weekend
  11. Nice, that video should be good
  12. My friend has one that he will return. The spool would make his line twist badly and knot, didn't matter on the line type. He bought a president and put braid on it and was all smiles. It is smoother and casts much easier. I'd pass until the kinks are worked out.
  13. I caught one on banana bread yesterday
  14. My friend has one of these. Looked like my carbon lite I had with slight variances. I like the styling of the Browning
  15. I may try this with a weedless hook
  16. You arent lying, his vid on youtube is how I recognized who he was...both he and his friend were cool... Does he ever wear shoes lol?
  17. He was skeet reesing it with his buddy, both had black n yellow poles with live targets on the line. I introduced them to the booyahs which I think theyll try out. I got to use one of those JD frogs and ended up missing a big fish because I decided to use a swimbait hook. The weight stopped the tip of the hook from passing the recessed area on the JD frog. I would have probably hooked that fish with my normal frogs with the same hook or using the regular hook with the JD frog. Its my fault because the jd frogs are much heavier and I was using that hook to add casting distance that I didnt need.
  18. Tellem large marge sent ya
  19. I have a few, they dont do what is happening to yours, but Im not really a fan of them at all. Yes they look nicer than other but you can get the same looks for 5.99 now from Cabelas or Ebay. They are softer than spros but spros work better overall for me. If you want a frog that is soft(softer than live target frogs),affordable, walks like a champ and doesnt fill up....goto dick's sporting goods on Southern BLVD and buy Booyah Pad Crashers for 5.99. You can get 2 for a couple bucks more than one Live Target. Cabelas 5.99 frog...looks the same doesnt it
  20. Listen to this snook guy, he is wise and has years of experience. Hes been fishing before were invented. I either use tape or those tabs that are in power pro on the spool. My last reel was braid ready so no need for backing/tape/tabs. I just spool all reels with line tension and Im good.
  21. Mine is still rocking, the 7:1 with no grinding as of right now. I did oil it but no grease. It did cast farther once I oiled it. Time will tell. I would like to repurchase the older model in left again. I miss it
  22. Do you know anyone that lives in a development? I usually have great luck in them. I hate canal fishing to be honest. Maybe a local park.
  23. Im practicing catch and release with these now. Im not a killer of fish unless its for the tourney where I know someone will eat them later. Ill just let them back into the water with one eye
  24. I ate a few pieces that were batter dipped yesterday in some mixture. It was good, clean white meat without a strong flavor .....but....knowing where some of these are caught would keep me from eating this. The mental assassination of a crappy canal with a shopping cart and industrial spill off running into it and food don't work for me. Maybe if you catch your own out of a clean lake or something but Im not frying up any muck fish unless theres a financial reason or life and death. Id still probably go to the pier before that happened
