Maryland's Who's who!
Black hills was awesome for me last year with the dirty water. Also dirty water heats up quicker they say. Hoping to get down there sat or sun. Big girls are waiting for me.

Maryland's Who's who!
Was a great day. Only caught 16 fish but we did a little running around spot checking. Two over 20 and three 18 were our best 5. I'm thinking we had close to a 20lb sack. The day before we went town VA and found found a mix bag of fish but nothing like those footballs.

Maryland's Who's who!
Took out my buddy's boat after work this eve to hit some musky holes. They turned out to be empty for now. Headed to Anna on Saturday to hopefully hook into a couple fat largemouth.

2014-15 Season Kills/pics
November 10th my target buck presented a 18 yard shot and my arrow clipped the only limb in its path. I looked at this limb multiple times before but dismissed it as no impact on my shooting lane. I was wrong! Arrow clipped him high but he is still alive and hanging around my stand after shooting light. The late muzzle loader season approaching and hoping he will make his appearance on the corn pile in killing light.

Maryland's Who's who!
I have lost a few baits in the valley mostly rattle traps. The one I lost at black hills was to line failure. On the retreave the rod loaded up and I set the hook. SNAP....I don't understand.. But bill dance may make his way to my boat. Dramer77 can give his to now he doesn't fish anymore.

Maryland's Who's who!
Got out to black hills yesterday and what a grind of a day it was. When we first got to the lake I noticed that the recent rain must of brought the lake up. I would have though it would be kind of lower because of summer but I haven't been to the lake sense spring. Water temp was reading 65 to 67 is different areas and the wind progressively got stronger as the day went on. Guess we had a mini cold front coming in. With that said in my head I'm thinking today should be lights out but the higher water I didn't like. I struggled all morning beating the bank with jig and plastics but my partner was able to pluck a few with a jig fish just didn't like mine. About mid morning I put down the bank busters and followed the electronics. Marking the bulk of the fish in 22 to 30 feet of water. So to knock a tactic off my bucket list I tied on the 6xd and a little while later I hooked up. After eventually loosing the 6xd to a submerged tree I pulled out a flat side strike king and fish it the rest of the day resulting in a few more fish. Towards the end of the day I got one on a spinner and last fish caught was on my replacement swim jig....Allen...lol. Probably only boated 8 fish witch 7 were keepers all about 2 pound. The fish are still deep I want another crack at them when does that place close?

Maryland's Who's who!
There were some blanks on the other side of the bored as well. Think that big bad moon had played its part making the fish moody. I started out strong in the early hours putting 4 keepers in the boat, one being about 2 pound. While my partner was struggling. Snapped lines and missed hook sets. Then the long mid day bore set in with my partner going threw baits to figure something out. Soon as he stopped fishing with his braid line set ups and went to floro and mono he lands his first fish and boost his moral. We eventually boat another keeper giving us one 2 pounder and 4 squeakers...12 and a 1/8.. Sized fish. With two and a half hours left in the day we made are way back to dam. Throughout the day the wind was building up some good gust periodically and about 12:30 we drifted up to isolated pads and pick fish up right away. Wind was blowing directly into these pads. Light bulb went off. Only culled one with a 12 and 1/2. Made are pass threw and another boat was doing the same but they were in the pads a few feet. Next thing I see is a big 5+ swung into the boat thinking to are selfs there goes first place if we ever had a chance. Now we are down we are down two 45 min to fish and we make the call to troll up and hit the pad points one more go. On the way there my partner ties on a lizard that almost matches the kind we seen swimming around. Get to the point make a cast and Brandon say Nate look, there his line goes swimming past the boat. Hook set and netted a 4+. Ok were back in it....times up way in blah blah.. If only we could have called the squeakers we would have been looking good but we also were the only boat with 5 fish. I started the day out strong and Brandon came in slow with the final punch. Great day on the water at a awesome looking fishery. Never give up

Maryland's Who's who!
Allen, I was comming in hot and had the crank bait in sight. About 4 feet from the bait I thought to my self... Why the hell are all these flys in this tree, ( must have been the rain . About when my hand got 8 inches away from grabbing the tree I seen the nest and that unwelcoming buzz is when I **** my pants and hit the deck. I panicked for what seemed like eternity getting the trolling motor dissorented under the danger zone. Scrambling to gain control of the trolling motor and out to safety I surely thought Drew or I was getting stung.

Maryland's Who's who!
Put the KVD 2.5 in the tree last night. Went to get in and I was in for a surprise. At the dusky hour my hand made it the closet it's ever wanted to be to a ticked off wasp nest of some sort. Trolling motor to 100 and zoom out......snap!! they can have it. Being afraid of bees and being inches away from putting my hand in the danger zone I almost had my first panic attack. But on the other note the fish loved the crank bait all afternoon.

Maryland's Who's who!
The boat got to see the water for a second time this month yesterday. Minikin and I went and played in the rocks a few weeks ago at Taylor's landing only to catch a few smallies. I think Allen had two keepers and I had the typical potomac short fish. Over the weekend I updated software to the hummingbird to keep it fresh and after resetting everything back to factory default I went out after work yesterday to play around and maybe catch a fish or two. Has anyone ever tried to setup a fish finder with fishing polls in the boat? Try it and see how long you stay focused on the finder. Lol. The evening wasn't full of numbers of bass but got 3 in the boat and one got to be a new lake best for me. Went to turn on the go pro for pics and the battery was dead so I had to settle for a blackberry one arm shot. The fish measured at 22" and weighed right at 6lb. Not to shabby for a summer fish. Would have like to hook up with that at the spawn and see the weight then.
