Yum Money Minnow
I have tried the money minnow before and had plenty of fish follow the bait but the seemed to get bored with it and become uninterested. They looks great in the water i just gave up on them and quit experimenting with them. Now just from writing on this post i wanna pick up a pack and run a money mi.now threw the grass here on the upper potomac and see if that will spark a reaction bite.

Diawa Products
I kinda found myself in shock today when I went to the Tackle Warehouse and looked at Daiwa reels today and seen how expensive there product is. In all the years i have been fishing I can honestly say i have never fished or ever looked at a Daiwa product. As i started fishing at a young age with Shakespeare rod-n-real combos, moving to Phlueger , Quantum reels, and now advancing up to Abu Garcia. Typical wallmart/ sporting goods store type of of equipment. I don't know why but for some reason when i think of Daiwa it kinda on the bottom of my list of quality product. So when I seen some of the prices on there stuff I though to myself REALLY!!!! they want that for a Daiwa. Im just curious to what other people think about Daiwa, why you would fish there product over another or why you wouldn't. Previous experiences with them. I really know nothing about Daiwa and cant get a grasp on what makes them worth that kind of money.

Fishing In The Rain
From my personal experience during summer floats when a thunder storm or rain cloud lets loose and passes threw the smallmouth get viscous. Fishing in the rain has been some of the best fishing and most exciting smallmouth fishing i have encountered. I dont know if its the sudden drop in pressure or the rain hitting the water that turns those little chunks into fire balls. Im not to keen on the lighting but if im on a float and see a storm brewing up i get pumped.

basically everything BeianinMD said. The lake is low now but had no problems launching or loading the boat, but then again i dont know how low big pool gets. Its looked to be about 3 to 5 foot lower then my earlyer visit this year.

- Maryland's Who's who!
Got out to big pool this morning not knowing how the fishing would be and in my suprise bagged roughly 17Lb limit in about 3 hours. I dont usually fish big pool to often but i think this is a very exceptional day of fishing here. These 2 fish were todays kickers first fish went 5.7 on the berkley digi scale didnt weigh the second one but i estimate the around the same weight.- Maryland's Who's who!
The trout hatchery here in wash. co. had tons of musky fingerlings. They were not being released here in wash. co. so i dont know where they went to.- Favorite Tubes
In my opinion these two companies have the best quality and selection of tube you would ever need. #1 Mizmo Big boy #2 Right bite salty tube- Maryland's Who's who!
No honeydos for me. as long as the river dosnt come way up im out there.- Living Rubber Jigs....plain Jane No Silicone
you make any of this living rubber skirt jigs in a 1/8-3/16 with a round head. I would buy some in a heart beat.- Maryland's Who's who!
you can come to williamsport put in at river bottom and make it up to duck island and camp.- Maryland's Who's who!
How far up did you run. Does the jon boat have a jet or prop?- How To Rig Minnows/flukes?
I fish my flukes weightless texas rig using a gamakatsu 3/0 superline offset hook or a gamakatsu offset g-lock hook. I usually fish flukes in 1-4 foot of water close to the top of the water column with a erratic action. I allways use floro for a solid hook set and floro sinks so if you see that lunker folowing and he is on the edge of commitment i stop my action and let the fluke sink. 98% of the time that is the ticket to trigger the fish. I mostly river fish.- Maryland's Who's who!
Got tierd of fishing the potomac. We need a little rain. Took the drive to the mighty susquehanna to try are luck. That was the best decision i ever made. First fish of the day was me new PB smallmouth.- Any Va Members Fish Lately?
Frogin at the dutch gap.- Maryland's Who's who!
Yes it is Allen. I have seen limits caught in under a hour.- Maryland's Who's who!
They are from the shore using artificial bait. Seems like the best time to catch them is in the colder months leading up to the spawn, or when your eyelets are freezing to your braid. lol- Maryland's Who's who!
there are plenty of walleye in the upper potomac. Best to fish for them at night.- Maryland's Who's who!
Put the Boat in at River bottom about 6 o clock Sunday morning water was up around 3ft and cloudy. The catfish nation appeared to be finishing up a tourny from the previous night. I went up to the first shoot to try my luck for a while why waiting on my buddy to show. After he showed we ran up past the rail road peirs but before the d**n and started to fish. Right off the bat caught a keeper on a buzz bait. Sunday was a R and D type of day for me, threw everything new at the fish instead of tube, sinko, ect... and did well. Caught about 15 fish and 3 were keepers. All smallmouth. I have seen some pesky flathead catfish showing up in the Potomac around here. Has anyone else?? They are a invasive species to this area and should be removed.- Why Smallmouth?
Power to weight- Maryland's Who's who!
